i am more than lucky...i am blessed. Every day. The problem is, there are days when it is really hard to slow down enough to recognize it.

I have my days. Usually bad luck but sometimes good. Sometimes they balance each other out. Like Thursday. Lumus found a PS2 game we'd been searching for months, bought it as a surprise for me only to get home and discover it didn't work. However, when he walked into our apartment, a gorgeous long haired black and white beauty queen of a cat waltzed right in with him. No one is claiming her so far. The irony is - we just talked about getting a kitteh buddy for Lardo de Retardo this week. So it's all good...... (as long as no one picks up Queenie!)

There was this one time a few months back...we were all playing Monopoly and just about every time I called my roll- I got it. I cleaned the board that night. They made me play the lottery the next day. i got three out of six numbers. Lucky, but not lucky enough. lol.
 
But, really, I am very lucky. Every time I look in Master's eyes and see the unwavering love and support He has for me, I know I have won the lottery.

LOL... I have been told by far more than one person that I was the unluckiest person they had ever met or that I had no luck at all.  I saw it this way too but I did not get upset with it for the most part...okay when three bill collectors show up at the same time and I can't get a break... I do get a bit upset with it... but mostly I laugh at it. 

But... I have been looking at it from another view lately.  I have been ill longer than most in my family that have the one disease.  Yet they are either dead or close to it.  Me... who had less luck, less medical helps and more problems with it all... am still here, kickin, playing, laughing at my backwards words and forgetfulness and still going strong.

Am I lucky?  You bet I am!  I asked the powers that be for two more years... so far it has been four and I am still counting and I will count it until I can't count.  Some days it feels like that is coming fast... but so did it four years ago! lol

I'm not a big believer in luck.  I think generally speaking we create what we have.

However, I am lucky to recognize this.  more or less.

I'm not the luckiest person in the world, but I'm a whole lot luckier than most people!

In a general sense I am so not a lucky person.  In life, in winning something, ect, ect.

But...like Lockit said, while I may be mentally trashed, hey at least I can still somewhat function.  My physical health is beyond excellant.  I dont have all the inherited problems the rest of my family is plagued with, the worst I really deal with is allergies and muscles damage of course not inherited but due to an accident. I use relaxers which are not addicting to avoid using pain killers, luckily I do have a high pain tolerance.

My immune system is off the charts...I swear its super human.  While allergy symptoms may cause my lungs to get congested at time I use my tried and true method and always avoid an infection.  Flu's colds, virus's go right past me, even if I do get it, its usually a couple of day turnaround.

With my health it is pretty much the most prominant luck I have.
