I wonder ...most of us have some age range they use when considering a partner.
As the year goes by, is the age range supposed to follow?
I mean my range would be maybe 23-36 since I don't date people younger than myself.
When I turn 23 then it automatically goes to 24...so I always change the minimum age.....but I started to wonder, do you change the max age too?? so if I did then in my case it'd be 24-37
I honestly can't make up my mind about that one, stupid I know![8|]

nothing stupid about acknowledging what you like and dont like,,many have accused me of being a cradle robber.....it's not that im against being involved with women my age or older, i have, but everything else being equal, i prefer younger women......since this place thrives on kink [no disrespect intended] that just happensto be one of mine

My age range is roughly 20-35.  I've found it useful to be flexible, though - the one person I've broken my personal rule for turned out to be entirely worth it.  (He also turned out to be younger than he'd said he was, but that's another story.) 

I think that it's good to have guidelines (at twenty-two, I wouldn't date or play with a sixty year old) but at the end of the day, the numbers are less important than the people behind them.

Strange as it may seem I've never really thought about this question, I suppose because I've never really identified with any generation.

I used to have a law that stated:  Never fool around with anyone younger than your children.  Then my children aged.  [8|]  I don't tend to have a lot in common with people my own age.  My 2 closest friends are right around the ages of my children.  My Owners are just a few months older than my eldest offspring.  And I have been very happy in relationships with some younger than my younger one.  So, yeah, I guess that my age range has changed as I have gotten older.  But the bottom line is I don't ever reject anyone simply based on their chronological age, just as I don't reject them on eye color or body shape.

You know, I did have an age range.  I used to only seek out dominants that were at least ten years older than I was.  (I was a big fan of Daddy doms)  And I would send away the young ones, or the ones close to my age.

But that has changed.  [:D]

I would not now discount someone based on their age as I have learned better. (he makes an excellent Daddy when the mood strikes him!!)  To each their own.  You are attracted to what you are attracted to.

Had I passed up on him because of his age, I would have missed out on the love of my life, the greatest joy I have ever known.

18 to maybe 60, perhaps older. Though 25 to 40 is my preferred range. Don't want someone too young, too young being 25ish and under.

Anywhere from being 40 and up is my preferred age range.

My lovers have usually been in their mid 20s.

I have a preference for younger men so anywhere from 21 - 50's is fine.  They at least need to be old enough to go with me to a club for live music, have a fun attitude and willingness to try new things.

For Me, both ends of the age range change as I do.  Oddly enough, there are two on the horizon that are outside of what I'd normally consider...... and they are both 26.

Not quite enough to have birthed them Myself, but I'm getting pretty close!  LOL.

I used to really not be interested in anyone older than me or in my age bracket.  To me they were just to old, as I have always had a yourthful mind and related to the younger crowd better.  I didnt have the as long as they are not younger than my kids rescriction.  But then I had not been looking for a serious relationship.

I a tweenie now with poen being older and BP being younger...Im finding it the person and not the age.

I know many younger people that have old souls, while at the same time older one that need to redo first grade.  So I have come to the conclusion that youth in spirit is what attracts me.

Linnaea, I loved your take on that and it's so true! When I set an age range of between 20 and 30, I'd get my socks knocked off by someone who was 32 so I'd then extend my age range to under 35s - but then a whole munch turned up.

My range is 35-55.  I'd like to have more ums and many men older than that have already been 'fixed' or don't want to start a whole new family.

I heve a 10 years older,10 years yonger soft rule. But usually my age or older. If they are younger they will not have a desire for kids. I dont want more .

I honesty don't have any age limitations beyond, must be of legal age.

There was a time when I seriously thought the only way I could live happily was in a monogamous relationship with a bedroom submissive woman, no more than 15 years younger than myself with no limit on the high end.

Meeting new people, keeping my mind open to new life experiences, going with the flow, changed my limitations with age and the need for monogamy. Now I just stay open to what the individual person brings into my life, what we can create together, what makes both/all of us happy.
