ORIGINAL: FullCircle Call yourself Mr X and you'll be surprised what you can divulge. I actually was part of disaster planning in the 90s. They do have all types of trainings and oddities. However- this was in the neighboring county. It floored me tho- that even tho it was an official duty of mine to revise and update the county disaster plan; there was date that I could not obtain. Even when asked for it. This was 1997. Supposedly local banks are strong and there is talk that we may benefit from the screw ups on Wall Street. I have to wonder tho. We expanded malls, hospitals, universities, the library, all of which added debt to the tax payer. Big glorious buildings need cash to be maintained. I dont doubt that cities will be chaos- 1 bank closing can effect a portion of an area. The thing is when the debit system is down- debit cards may or may not work. Same with checks en route.
