I am pleased the ''towers'' are being rebuilt, but I believe it should retain the old name of WORLD trade centre as that is the place the world once looked as being THE place to represent the world. Also keeping the old name is defiance, defiance at those who wish to destroy, upset and otherwise make their point in horrific and violent ways, when they attacked the towers, they attacked the world, and by attacking the world, they alienate themselves to the world. Just to remember, it was not only US citizens that died in that atrocity, but also many representatives of other countries who had business in those buildings, maybe even representatives of the same country as the murderers and I suppose even the same belief the murderers martyred themselves for. Thinking of the name the possible name ''freedom'', what does that indicate, well, freedom as we know is a difficult thing to define, as what is freedom to one might be enslavement to another and many definitions in between. I find the word freedom as an ideal, not a definite, as who is free, are you, are we, are those who wish harm against us free ? If we live in fear and prejudice, then we are not free, none of us. The other thing, WTC of old, many knew of it, but where it was,was not always thought about, the WTC being the attraction, not where it resides, it represented the world not just the country it stood in, perhaps the possible name ''freedom'' tower,is more about representing the country the building stands in this time, maybe. But the towers should be rebuilt , the same as they were before, get the familiar and famous skyline back, build them just as they were, but build them with modern materials and techniques and the world should be involved in the construction, so the world can once again have it's world trade centre back. Together we stand, divided we fall. The world should stand together in the face of oppression.
