This isn't related to BDSM in any way but am looking to purchase
a webcam and don't know much about them. Looking for suggestions about what others think might be the best. I know some are not
compatible with Vista. Figure someone might have an opinion or two
to share about webcams. Thanks.

I don't have vista on my computer. Thank the Goddess for small favors on that issue! As far as webcams, I have a Labtec cam, and it said on the box it works with chat clients like MSN, YAHOO, and AIM. I only use it with yahoo, and haven't had any problem with it. I also have y-tunnel pro and still the cam works fine. Labtec are fairly inexpensive, running 20-30 dollars or so at Walmart. You can sometimes find cheaper cams as well there too.

Just look for packaging that says it is vista compatible. The only one I could find at the time isn't all that clear but it works. The printer... and all that... different story!

Wally world also has a pretty nice phillips one that is only like 20 or 25 bucks. It's not top of the line, 1080p, HDTV, infrared, blah blah blah, but, it's a webcam and it works pretty darn well. Have uh... 5 here in the house (had to think of what all rooms had them).

just from personal experience, Ive always had good luck with anything made by logitech , including their cams...i just think they package really good drivers with their stuff, and regardless of how good the hardware, if the driver isnt worth a crap the hardware will bring you nothing but heartache
