Recently I was given a vibe that straps on during sex or out on the town, but the straps on it are really thin and they chafe terribly. I'm a bigger girl, so I was wondering if anyone knows a retailer that sells thicker/longer/wider replacement straps?

Or, failing that, does anyone know how I could make the straps myself?

I would replace the straps with a flat nylon rope/webbing that you can cut to length.

Would you consider posting a picture or link to a picture of the vibe.  Its hard to determine the feasibility of replacing the straps without knowing what the product looks like.

That's it. It has little feet loops that the straps go on.

Judging on thepicture, you finding replacement straps could be a trick, but making a set shouldn't be an issue.

As for the material, I would start by asking myself the question: "what do I normally wear over my crotch that doesn't chafe?" and go from there. 

The cheap elasticized webbing that those starps appear to be made of is rough and scratchy, and going to a wider strap likely won't make much of a difference. 

The other option, if you could find it, would be to do it in latex.

I'm unable to use the viewing link, but I would think that shoelaces would work... either cloth or leather and would be easily replacable. Scotty

Hmmm, those are both really good ideas. I think shoelaces might be more accessible for me though.

You could always buy some thicker elastic at a craft store. You might also try and just sew to toy to a tight (but comfy) pair of panties. A lot of toys they make in sizes for bigger girls...even if you don't need the extra inches, the rig tends to be more comfortable for any girl.

A suggestion- forget about the straps and just slip the vibe in place nestled inside tightly fitting panties. Properly fitted latex ones work quite nicely.
