I agree in part, but the belief in life after death first of all gives us hope, and secondly should by rights guide our actions here on earth (although I will be the first to admit that I am anything but a saint). The idea is that our actions on earth will be rewarded in the afterlife.

Huh. I guess I never really thought about it. I'm thinking that it's not particularly going to matter though. The world probably won't end until we all blow ourselves up.
