Just sitting here reading through CM, one of the music channels on in the background when suddenly the lyrics caught my attention....

"I like the sound of your shirt ripping
My will slipping under the table
I like the sound of your hand slapping
Your whip cracking, this could be painful
I may like the rain, I may like the symphony
I may like the feel of your frame on my frame"

(Call my name" Charlotte Church)

Felt quite appropriate given what I was reading

Anyone got any favorate lyrics along the same lines?

Wow, how strange! I was thinking to post something just like this recently!

Mine was sparked by the song "Cater To You" by Destiny's Child. I was kind of shocked how something so very pop/mainstream could be so...clearly deviant lol

I'd wondered after that if there were any other songs that were so Billboard Top 10 that had the same boomingly clear theme.

This thread will be interesting, thanks for posting it

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Aeroplane (I like pleasure spiked with pain...)

Nine Inch Nails - Head Like A Hole (Bow down before the one you serve. You're going to get what you deserve)

Several Rammstein songs have a BDSM theme - I also have a DVD where in one of the songs the singer is using a flogger on himself

Another group I found a CD from is Stahlhammer. The CD is called Feind Hort Mit and one of the songs is called Schlag Mich (Beat Me) - English translation here, though I love how it sounds in German! :p

Please, please, please beat me
Please, please, please, just beat me
Please, please, please beat me
Please, please, please, just beat me

With the whip, with the belt
Come and beat deep welts on me
With the whip, with the belt
Please, please, please beat me yet

Stab into the wounds of my soul
Close the eyes and just enjoy it
Deep into the wounds of my soul
Close the eyes and just enjoy it

Beat for beat
Deep into my wounds
Beat me, beat me
Beat me, because it had to be love

With the scourge, with the leather
with the rod, with the oak wood stick
With the scourge, with the leather
Please, please, please beat me yet

With the whip, with the belt
Come and beat deep welts on me
With the whip, with the belt
Please, please, please, just beat me

Less obvious examples:

Dave Mathews Band, Crash: "tied up and twisted the way I like to be..."

Indigo Girls, Power of Two: "steel bars between me and a promise sudden bend with ease/ the closer I'm bound in love to you, the closer I am to free"

OK am I the only dork who's seen the one woman (I can't recall her name, Jane maybe? :/) who was on Surreal Life and she's one of the indigo girls. On one of the last epsiodes she reveals that she's very active in the BDSM community and has a little fest in the house with her 'dungeon'...I'll probably be the only one who's seen that

In any event, now seeing the lyrics, and having seen that show, at least we know she's genuine

Jewel had a song where the last verse was in reference to bowing down...I had used a line from the song on a now defunct web site. I tried to find the song not too long ago without any success.

"A woman is like a dresser, some man's always runnin' through it's drawers.
A woman is like a dresser, some man's always runnin' through it's drawers.
If cause so many men to wear an apron overall."

"From four til late, she get with a no good bunch, and clown.
From four til late, she get with a no good bunch, and clown.
But she won't do nothin' but tear a good man's reputation down."

excerpts from: 'From Four Til Late." Robert Johnson. circa 1936

Ah that might be one reason I haven't heard of them, I don't recognise the names of a lot of rap artists either for the same reason.

Either that of they might just not be as popular over this side of the pond.

Evil Gal Blues

I'm an evil gal, don't you bother with me.
YES! I'm an evil gal, don't you bother with me.
I'll empty your pockets and fill you with misery.

I've got men to the left, men to the right,
men every day and men every night
I've got so many men mmmm I don't know what to do
So I'm tellin you daddy, I ain't no good to you

I got men in the east, men in the west
but my man here in Harlem always loves me the best
I'm an evil gal, and I need an evil man.
But I'm down in the dumps since I lost him to Uncle Sam

If you want to be happy don't hang around with me
mmm I said If you want to be happy don't hang around with me
'Cause I'm an evil gal, and I want to set you free.

Lional Hampton Sextet with Dinah Washington - 1943
