http://www.nbcwashington.com/news/weird/Laid-Off-Wall-Streeters-Turn-To-Strip-Clubs.html

The big question is whether they offer us a long overdue break from the typical bad drama most strippers are known for. Catfights in the back rooms between the trashy ones and the smarty ones who are infiltrating and taking all the cash??

Well, it's not like they need those power-suits for the night-shift.

Wow. That's horrible! You mean they actually have to lower themselves to earning an honest living?

I think that depends on whether they are on stage, table, platform or doing a lap dance.

Is it not ironic that something close to "the world's oldest profession" seems a more honest option than many other career choices in today's business climate?

Not to worry, she may have just found the better profession.

"It was very odd seeing a strip club being better run than a major brokerage firm," she said.

And she's undoubtedly in med school in her spare time, or so I've been told, often.

Not that I ever go to those disgusting places.

Her comment about sexual harassment also rings true. I've been known to spend time inside clubs, and while living in ABQ dated a stripper for several months. They were left alone for the most part. And the power they had was pretty awesome. A naked woman would come off stage after having just showed her pussy to half the guys in the club and the crowd of men on the floor would part like the red sea without a one of them even trying to touch them. I expect it had something to do with the extra large bouncers standing in the wings, LOL. None the less it was interesting.

Good point, Uncle Nasty.  Many a woman has wished that she had a personal security detail when going to work or walking down a city street.

For comparison, it's all because they are customers...not bosses.

You know, watching the News turns out that the "smarty ones" aren't that smart!

Depends on the club. When I was in the business the club I started working at was very strict. They had some of the best dancers in town, that actually danced and not just shook their ass a little. If you touched the girl once, you were politely asked not to touch. If it happened a second time, you were not told a damn thing. Two big guys would walk up, put you to the ground and haul you out quick. Since of course you are resisting a legal ejection from a club you are squirming, and all those door frames get in the way. When a club has this kind of rep, combined with excellent dancers, you get good paying clientelle.
