Well, Obama has effectively nationalized the auto industry by firing the CEO of GM, and selling Crysler to Fiat. We blame the management and rightfully so, but we don't take action against the unions who are also to blame. So what is next? Hillary says it is all our fault that Mexico is having drug wars. Yes, we are partly to blame, but so are they, but no it is all our fault. We don't fault them for having a corrupt government. The Chinese are tapping into computers all over the world, getting information and we do nothing about it or say nothing about it, because we owe them trillions of dollars. We have Dodd taking millions from AIG and Countrywide, but that is ok. We have Frank doing the same, but that is ok. We have Pelosi telling illegal immigrants that it is our fault they are here and we should take care of them and not take care of our own people.... I can hardly wait for tomorrow!

You really don't want to know what is next. Millions of people in poverty, many literally in the street with families. Injustices the world has heretofore not seen. Almost imminent famine, and climactic changes that will be at the very least hard to deal with. Invasions of privacy, and human rights tossed aside like a dirt bag from a vacuum cleaner. Innocents punished for crimes they did not commit, and criminals routinely turned free on a disarmed populace. People afraid to leave their homes. Afraid to help one another for fear of being robbed - i.e. not picking up hitchhikers or letting someone in to use your phone to call for a tow. Many people absorbed in the media lies and video games, unable to accept the real truth. A generation chock full of soulless creatures who not only care nothing for humanity, and not even for their own family. Some of the most disgusting aspects of humanity held high as objects de art, and true beauty lost in a sea of advertising. Monopolies on creativity, with insidious controls placed upon a people who think they are free, in ways that no one person can fully understand. And last but not least, when people wake up and see the truth, they will be deemed in need of help, and given a pill for their naturally occurring depression. Wait a minute, we already have all that. I forgot to turn the page. T

As I recall, Ford is doing fine, and isn't under Government control... neither is Toyota, Huyndai, Honda, or any other fine brand of gas efficient car on the market. Sure, they took a hit with everyone else in the downturn, but they sure don't seem to be running to the Hill, simpering for a bailout.... Nope, oddly enough, only the makers of huge ass, gas guzzling Hummers, and other Earth killing vehicles are sinking into the tar pit. Gee, I wonder why that is? (Psst... it's because they deviated from Lee Iacocca's plan for the future. They didn't change with the shifting market. They rested on their asses, and their competition wiped the floor with them.) If they die, they have only themselves to blame.

K sure it isnt. Ford goes to Blowbama and says I dont want a bailout. I just want Citi (a state owned bank in his mind) to loan me 20 billion dollars so I can loan people the money to buy GM cars at no interest and in fact at a discount because my inventory has carrying costs. And btw Im not going to do any credit checks so the loans may not get paid off, and if they dont I cant pay you back. A rose is a rose is a rose.

To my understanding they are basically bankrupt and given time to find the solution out of the situation. The unions share no blame, they are not running the company. The unions negotiate with the management. The situation where salaries of the workers are stagnant and executive pay increases exponentially is part of the general problem with US economy.

It`s hyperbole. Matched with Obama`s a socialist,communist,fascist,Marxist,etc.... Heard a good one the other day from rightist whack-job, Mark Levine. He called Obama a "statist"....................oowwww......devistating.......<sort> Some of the best compliments Obama gets come from the quality of his critics.
