Ever wonder about some of the men's names on your favorite liquors? Captain Morgan was a feared 17th Century privateer; Johnnie Walker ran a grocery in Kilmarnock, Scotland in the 1800's, his son Alexander was the whiskey maker; Jack Daniel was the descendent of Welsh immigrants and brewed whiskey in Lynchburg, Tennesse; the founding Jose Cuervo received a land grant from the King of Spain for land in Jalisco, Mexico; Jim Beam was the great-grandson of the man who actually started the distillery, Jacob Bean; Charles Tanqueray broke with the family tradition of becoming a clergyman; and Gaspare Campari started as a master drink mixer in Turin and later produced and marketing his own apertif in Milan. My absolute favorite booze is Maker's Mark; a better bourbon there is not.

I have a bad "drinking contest story" surrounding Bacardi 151. I was 22, my friends dared me, I apparently had an amusing conversation with the police, and I had a fugly waitress's number in my pocket when I woke up.

It does make fantastical things happen :D I usually don't drink much. Two or three shots over 30 minutes and I'm pretty buzzed and I usually stop around there :D I've only been badly drunk a couple times... I don't think I did anything too stupid.

I did the last time i was drunk and that was saturday. I told everyone at my local munch i was going to 'Browns', a very posh cocktail bar in leeds to prostitute myself for £35, for a pair of shoes i'd fallen in love with earlier that day [:'(]

One of my brothers used to drink Capt. Morgan. Anytime I'd see it on the table I knew that if I didn't leave we were going to fight. I call it "Captain Stupid."
