Now trusub, whatever do you mean? (There's a hint in the thread about things found in the garage. I think it was in the Polls section.)

tendergirl -> RE: Irritated by stereotypes...then caught myself doing it... (2/2/2006 4:55:03 PM)

I just read that entire thread from start to finish, what a journey ... phew.

I am submissive, I am a submissive. It is who I am not what I give. I did choose very very carefully the person I presented myself before. I stood before Him on offer and He decided to take me on. I now belong to Him and offered my full submission. I feel that can only be offered or requested once. Once that decision is made, agreed upon and conditions agreed, it is a done deal.

My Dom feels honoured and privileged to have me in His service and I equally feel honoured and privileged to belong to Him. I was very very careful before I presented myself to Him and I made the decision to offer to serve Him for life. He accepted. I will remain in His service until death or until He chooses otherwise.

Submission is only a gift in that I adore being a submissive and I am grateful that I have the ability and that quality of character, so for me, it is a gift I was given, not one that I offer.

Hope that helps, but the way this thread went, it can't hurt. lol

love from tendergirl

Unameme -> RE: Irritated by unrealistic criteriae (2/3/2006 9:47:17 PM)

Hmmmm, I read DWolfhunter's post and
quote:

One of the things that really pisses me off about the D/s community as a whole, is that it perpetuates several basic stereotypes. The ones that really turn my crank are the following:

Stereotype 2: The unrealistic submissive
Alright UNrealistic Dominants: If you set the image that you're an dishonest, unprincipled letch. You have failed. If you demand submission, you have failed. If you have to force compliance, you have failed. If you really believe that you are "MasterCum-tastic, Lord High Stomper of the unrighteous and submissive" take your meds and help will be on it's way. Any person who demands that a complete stranger approach them as Master/Mistress has FAILED!! If you can't get off without your toys...you guessed it you've failed. The most useful sexual device/toy is your mind and the will to use it.
Go ahead and be dishonest with yourself all you like. But when a newbie sub sets themselves out there...you had better be being honest with them. Why? Because you owe it to them. By claiming dominance you have also made yourself responsible for the sub' safety and security.

He got Broad sided {no pun intended } in part, but reading his whole posting he was
making valid points,
I can see a submissive, surrender as a gift,
I think a slave surrender might be classified as a condition,
wherein may lie the heated disagreement between posters , hehe sorry heh hmm not really
Anyway wish you all love an peace Bluesmate

mons -> RE: Irritated by unrealistic criteriae (2/4/2006 2:03:43 AM)

my one question is why are you so mad? i have said before do not lump all of us together i do not ever waer a leather collar nor do i ask anyone for a "gift" but ithink it is something that should not be taken lightly it is a price to me. your very angry and i see your a gorean male or master i think? never seen one of you so angry. we alll are not the same. if i am anything i am a female warrior and i carry my slave very welli have my womanly ways that keeps him smiling and he is ok with this and i have not toys i do not need them yet lol

The profile of the OP doesn't mention being Gorean, other than to list "Gorean Lifestyles" as something he tolerates.
