Some of the product concepts and flavor combinations are puzzling, some are disgusting and some mind-boggling. What marketing executive would give a green light to these types of products? Food products like "flower-power Pez", celery flavored Jello, fig-flavored Ex-Lax, cheese burger flavored Doritos, peanut butter and jelly Pop-Tarts, banana, salt, tea or curry flavored toothpaste, black pepper or turkey & gravy flavored soda pop, etc. http://www.mentalfloss.com/blogs/archives/6407

I happen to like the black pepper jellybellys. And the turkey soda... well, I don't think I'd go so far as to say I "like" it, but, it didn't make me want to wretch.

I've had black pepper in ice cream if that counts... and I'm not talking about ground, try crushed!

black pepper on fresh cantaloupe (rockmelon) is nice and salt on fresh cut apples or oranges isnt to bad either.

I can see pb & j poptarts. Kids eat pb & j sandwiches, and they are also the prime target for poptarts, so why not combine them?
