Hello friends..it is April Roll Call Time albeit a day early to avoid all those April Fool's Day postings and jokes.March crawled by for me,however, things are looking good as i prepare to leave for New York on Saturday evening.I'll be driving it so keep me in your thoughts for safety. Now for the reason....i will be the host of a dinner/dance on the 11th with my older brothers former band and special guests providing the music. The special guests are guys i haven't seen in 50 years..well at least two of them and so i am quite excited.Yours truly will also be playing some guitar onstage with the guys and from what i hear,it is close to being a sellout..so much fun ahead and of course an opportunity to see family and friends.Proceeds are going to a charity but i don't know which one at this time. One of the songs i'll be performing is an instrumental version of"Some where over the Rainbow" in honor of my late cousin who passed away in January.I just hope i don't tear up before i am finished with it.That's all from me for now at least..be well all and blessed of course.

Good morning Chezzy, what a wonderful reunion to look forward to and you'd better drive safely, we love having you around the forums. Your cousin would be proud to hear you play in his honour and memory, Chezzy. If you do tear up, every single person in attendance will understand and it's nothing to be ashamed of as you're playing out of respect and love for a dear family member no longer with you - that kind of emotion will be felt by each and every one listening and you share a unique bond.

I had my operation on 24th March, I have a plaster cast up to my knee and the pain now is bearable but still cannot put any weight on that leg as yet which means I am housebound for the time being. Reality has been wonderful, he's taken care of my every need and took a week off work to care for me. He is now in London on a week's 'oracle' course which means my mother is here looking after me - and I'm slowly losing my grip on sanity. A peek at my journal will clear that one up lol Despite the pain, I am so fortunate and I'm hoping the operation has been a success - we won't know until I have seen the specialist for a check up and removal of the first cast. What makes me happier than anything is seeing how confident Reality has become from the shy, introverted boy I first met three years ago and who avoided any kind of situation that brought him into contact with people he didnt know. The man that leaves the house walks tall, speaks without hesitation and I couldn't be prouder. He telephoned last night to say he was dining at an authentic Italian restaurant and despite him being of Italian descent, he couldn't understand the menu and he kept texting me in awe at the mountain of food he'd unwittingly ordered - which had me laughing for hours.

Get well soon Miss M and thank you for the kind words.

LadyPact -> RE: April roll call ...a day early (4/1/2009 3:11:15 AM)

Good Morning and Happy April Everyone.  Don't worry, chez, no April Fool's Day pranks here.  Not My thing.

I can't say I have anything great to report, except for just checking in.  Spring is here, thank goodness, but I haven't quite kicked the winter blahs.  Just bad timing for sunlight, I'm afraid.  I like the spring rain and all, but I need the sun to get My recharge after winter.

This is supposed to be My last full month before Mister P is due to come back home.  The tensions in North Korea have that on a bit of shaky ground.  There's some talk of his tour being extended, but at this point, it's just talk.  I'm not seeing any signs that lead Me to believe he'll be kept.  Unfortunately, there's enough talk to put doubts in My mind.

Still, if things do go according to plan, he should be home next month and it will be time to start thinking of the next destination.  I've only got somewhere around three months left to be living in GA.  I'm pulled both ways by this, but such is military life.

The thought behind that one is that the upcoming transition puts on hold something I've been thinking about for a while now, and that is the possibility of adding to the family.  Probably not something that I'm going to pursue while still here, unless something extraordinary happens (like someone who lives here now who's willing to meet My requirements in three months time) and be in the next location, too.  The idea is definitely there though.

As for clip, he's finally made it to pre-deployment training in KS.  I haven't exactly been thrilled with what's going on there, either.  Probably a bit too much to say on a message board.  There might be a potential for him to get back here during a long weekend this month, but it's too early to be determined.

I hope the roll call finds everyone well.  Best wishes for speedy recovery, Miss M.

Greetings to all:

I am still down here in good ole South Carolina surviving the economic crisis we are in.   I will be glad when we are out of it.
My slave an I are still taking time away from the active lifestyle, but we enjoy friends here at Collarme.

Greetings and salutations to the entire group and wishing each of you stable lives and good results. I'm counting the days til open windows and ceiling fans before the 3 days of spring turn into the 93 days of 'its not the heat, its the stupidity' [:D]

LadyHibiscus -> RE: April roll call ...a day early (4/1/2009 7:02:13 AM)

For months I've been asking my colleagues, "Is it April yet?  How about now?"  Now it IS April and in two more weeks I am free to have a life again!  I love my work, but it's draining as hell.  This is mine and my parents' birthday month (mom 7th, me 13th, dad 17th) so huzzah for us!

sambamanslilgirl -> RE: April roll call ...a day early (4/1/2009 7:34:54 AM)

[fast reply]

March was a bumpy ride ...so glad it's over!

April is looking somewhat bright. i'm in the process of searching for a new place - found one i really like but considering another place before making a final decision. i turn 40 - un-freakin'-believable - on the 21st. i'm ready to rock out at my b-day bash in a couple of weeks. my pet will be here for the fun and spankings ...and other surprises.

in other news, wedding plans are coming along nicely. i'm finalizing venue plans for an intimate ceremony and dinner reception for next year. since i'm so organized, my ums are betting i'll turn into a bridezilla by Aug.

not happening

VampiresLair -> RE: April roll call ...a day early (4/1/2009 7:41:05 AM)

One more month closer to the wedding... and now Angel and Silk are getting married as well (I'm SOOO happy :) )
Fox is getting his wisdom tooth pulled today, and hopefully that will be the end of what has been a fairly difficult week. And I am mentoring a very good new femdomme who has a sub boyfriend already and who want to learn more about the lifestyle from a success story like Fox and I.

Oh, and I got my wedding dress :)

Fox turns 22 later this month as well, on Apr 25

We're still waiting to see if Pandi is pregs, and other than that, we are expecting 25 chickens to arrive on Friday.  We're going to be raising them for food for us and the dogs, and while they are still babies, we are going to take pictures of them with our niece, nephew and some younger cousins LOL

Lordandmaster -> RE: April roll call ...a day early (4/1/2009 9:03:26 AM)

April 1 is my birthday.  Yay!

Ah, mortality.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: April roll call ...a day early (4/1/2009 9:11:28 AM)

Happy Birthday, LaM!

Further update--I had to sign of to set mom's hair--after the birthdays, the parents are heading to Florida for nearly a month!  I am giddy at the thought of having the house to myself.  Just me and the parrot, watching TV and reclining...  well, for a few days.  My big task is dealing with the basement and my Many Possessions.  I have been rehoming things bit by bit, and the charity shops will get a bunch of stuff as well.  Then--knitting!  And having a social life!  And PLAYING!

This winter has been seriously long, but I am looking forward to that brief window of good weather before the trees bloom---do you think roller skating will make my sciatica worse?  I'll keep you posted!

MamaDomme1 -> RE: April roll call ...a day early (4/1/2009 10:47:12 AM)

~~FR~~

Happy April everyone!  I'm so glad that Spring has finally arrived!  It's already promising to be a beautiful and busy month here!

The broken foot is still broken--- getting xrays next week to see how the healing is coming along.  I really am pretty tired of being limited in what I can do and where I can go!

I started the chemo 3 weeks ago yesterday for the lupus and so far, I'm really pleased with the results.  I'm pretty sick on Tuesday afternoon, evening and nights and then tired on Wednesdays but other than that, I feel great the rest of the week.  In fact, I feel so much better that I've actually done a couple of sessions again!  Not gonna overdo and wear myself out tho.

Got official confirmation 2 weeks ago that I'm gonna be a GrandMa-Ma around Thanksgiving and I couldn't be more happy!  They've been trying for over a year with lots of infertility complications so this is the best news in the world, as far as I'm concerned.  She'll be 31 by the time the baby is born and that biological clock has been ticking pretty hard!

Hope all have a fabulous April!

PsyVamp -> RE: April roll call ...a day early (4/1/2009 3:16:50 PM)

Hi everyone :)
Just checking in, things seem to be status quo here at the home front.
I took a month break from school to see if I could regain My sanity.  (ha! like that would ever work)
I've caught the virus that My offspring had over the weekend and I've got grand jury duty this week.

DelilahDeb -> RE: April roll call ...a day early (4/1/2009 6:36:49 PM)

Have my collared sub in town for the last of a two-week visit that included KinkFest, and I'm rather overloaded on other fronts. But good.

ShiftedJewel -> RE: April roll call ...a day early (4/2/2009 6:50:09 AM)

We're surviving and actually getting a lot of stuff done around here. We've spent the last three weeks working on the woodwork in the living room. Strip and stain it, then we have to seal it and will be ready to paint!! Ok, there is a LOT of wood in the livingroom. But it's going to be worth it, it's all solid Tiger Oak and amazingly beautiful!! Hubby is also in the process of running all new electric to the livingroom, we've survived all these years with three plugins in there. Imagine that with a TV, home theatre system, table lamps, a window unit a/c... lots and lots of extension cords!! I can't wait until we have it finished!!! And this time we are gonna finish it!!!

Beyond that nothing exciting going on. Yeah, we're still just the two of us and that's how we're gonna keep it. I feel kind of funny posting here... the lifestyle for us is just a memory from now on, but this is where my friends are so hopefully it's ok that this kind of 'nilla lady calls this home...

MsDDom -> RE: April roll call ...a day early (4/2/2009 7:28:35 PM)

well...this is my first roll call...  Happy April and smelling Spring flowers...A/all [:D]

i have 3 "irons" in the fire (yes i am very particular)...two of the three r very special...the third needing me to educate him in the Life.  i have put it on my calendar to start attending a Munch at least once a month...just to hang out and relax. may have a garden party--couple of servant boys serving my friends as we enjoy tea and cucumber "sammiches"...[;)]

on the other side of the fence, my twins (18 and seniors) want Momz to relocate them to AL. huh?? Momz is trying to relocated herself to GA...i've had enough of the CO snow. big garage sale coming soon...i am tired of all this "stuff".

AlexandraLynch -> RE: April roll call ...a day early (4/2/2009 7:39:01 PM)

I am doing the spring cleaning, which feels deeply satisfying. Of course, it has a deadline; namely, that I am hosting a Beltane ritual on May 1.

My husband and I jointly have a female submissive under consideration. He is going to pick out a collar for her (because she's more his than mine) this weekend.  Kitten is very earnest and conscientious and eager to learn, so this should go well.

And I am still talking with my Horse. He's had to move to CO, but we are keeping in touch because he hopes to move back to IN within six to eight months.

Other than that, I have a play session scheduled tomorrow night with two old friends who also happen to be a switch/sub couple. I don't know whether it will be bdsm or just two girls and a guy in a bed, but either way I am going to have a lot of fun.

ShiftedJewel -> RE: April roll call ...a day early (4/2/2009 8:31:23 PM)

Awww.. spring cleaning!!! We've been doing an amazing amount of that and it's like Christmas around here!! We're finding things that we thought were long gone!! Hell, a couple of weeks ago I found my laundry room!!! We're loving it!!
