It's not about fear of death: it's about fear of human stupidity and intolerance. When someone tells you that you amount to nothing because you don't fear death and because you don't believe in the afterlife, they are being unkind, and they completely betray the object of their religion, don't you think?

I never 'insisted that believers feared death'. KD said that he feared death and that believing provided him with solace. It is him I addressed, not the entire religious population of the planet. Please, don't put words in my mouth: it's unbecoming.

I was explaining my view of oblivion and why I was more afraid of it then hell... that ties into the remarks made by Stella. But I see it hit a nerve with you… You seem to have no qualms about attacking religion but when your view is even questioned you react badly… How does it feel? Perhaps you should keep that feeling in mind the next time you attack a person for their faith. Butch
