Why ask why?

Just block, delete, and move on with your day.

My two cents, anyway.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.  When I still had an account on CM (now I just belong to the boards) I would often write to someone I didn't know and compliment them on a recent posting here or on something that I saw in their profile or journal.  Some reacted very well, others didn't.  A lot of men are homophobic so it is probably more difficult for a man writing to someone of the same gender than for a woman to do the same.  Some people can't take a compliment or nice comment for what it is but assume that the only reason for it is in desire for a relationship.

Don't let it hurt your feelings; just see it as part of reality.  Personally, I used to love it when someone would write to me and tell me that something in my journal really helped them.  I might only hear from them once, but it was nice to know that I made a difference.

The problem is for every one truly innocent compliment or comment, there are 4 or 5 that ARE trying to get into their pants. They suspect everyone now, which is sad. However, not everyone is like that.

Your profile says looking for a dominant male.
So why is it so horrible when someone reads that and responds saying they aren't compatible?
Telling you they aren't into men is factual, not horrible.

i sometimes send random compelments to people who have made me think when reading these forums(i rarly think) i dont care if they reply or not, if your being freindly with no intent who cares if you get a reply, if somone takes a complement as you trying to seduce them or negativly just ignore it, dont be nice to people with the idea they owe it to you to be nice back, this site is also used by some as only a way to meet potention partners aswell so some dont want to make a buddy, just move on to someone else who is more open to just chatting.

Ok - two things here.

1st: Are you literally only saying "hello"? Because most of the e-mail I get is spam that has little or no content beyond "hi!" (and perhaps a link to another site.)
Generally anymore, I don't take the time to follow up e-mails with little or no content.

2nd: "Sorry, I'm not into male" is not *that* horrible a reply, is it?

Alright, so that was a little nitpicky, maybe.
Point is, though, maybe a little clarification is in order.

Or - it could be that you're picking humorless studly studs.
Or, it could simply be the luck of the draw.

It's frustrating, yes.  But as many different people as there are out there, there are just as many reasons why they are the way they are.  Don't waste your time sweating it.

The internet is impersonal as opposed to real life etc....

And I've deleted all the chat programs from my pc because I got a little tired of strangers I was never gonna meet just rocking up and saying 'hi'.  Like anyone else, I've got enough r/l friends and acquaintances to occupy my social needs whereas internet time is mostly MY time yet typing isn't something I relish....

So you're a male sub not after male/dom dicks....  Ok, then what is your motivation for wanting to say hello to male doms - as opposed to female dommes, for eg?  Because I'm mostly with the doms you're complaining about; what is it you do want from them?

Focus.

Let me share with you the last time a man contacted me here.

He lived in Africa, and was a Dominant man.  He wrote "Hey, how's it going?"  I should have simply ignored him but wrote back, "Why are you contacting me?  I'm a straight Dom man living in the US."  The moron wrote back "I may know a girl", after which I just blocked him.

The gist - if you contact me, male or female, it's common courtesy to start a conversation.  If you just say something pointless like, "Hi, how's it going?", I will probably ignore you.

When men here say they want to be "friends" in their first e-mail, unless they are referencing something specific I posted, I tend to be suspicious that they mean "friends with benefits." Since you are seeking a male Dominant, I'm not really surprised you're getting that reaction. If you wrote asking for specific advice about something, or commenting on a post they made, they probably wouldn't have a problem with you.

The question that I have to ask in return, OP, is are you reading the profiles of the people you are contacting?

The thing is, people have already been friendly in a sense, because they've offered you information in that profile about who they prefer to interact with on this site.  If you're ignoring that information, that might be why you're getting rude responses.  For example, My profile is very specific about only being interested in local people for anything other than friendship.  So, when someone hits on Me and is from somewhere not even relatively close to Me, all they've really proceeded in doing is show Me that they have no reason to value My preferences.
