Just in case some might not be aware, in California, $9 an hour is an even crappier wage than it sounds like.

The union of low-wage caregivers that Tyrone Freeman once headed has taken him to court to demand restitution of more than $1.1 million -- dues money that allegedly financed his lifestyle of $175 glasses of cognac, $250 bottles of wine and a $3,400 trip to the NFL's Pro Bowl in Hawaii.

This is the American (and elitist) culture of a sense of entitlement that has taken hold in so many positions of power. When one looks at the entire landscape of corruption, it seems a daunting task to find a way of eliminating this kind of graft...everywhere.

It has nothing to do with "American" or "elitist". It is mankind, period.
