I am relatively new to the lifestyle and I fear that I am both too eager and too reluctant at the same time. I like being used and then sometimes I resist it... Can anyone share with me some insight into these contradictory feelings? Thanks!

How long have you been in this relationship, how strong is it? Resistance is natural in the beginning. As the relationship strengthens, as you see the dominant making smart decisions that take into acccount your best interest, your trust level will grow and your submission will deepen. Conversely if he makes selfish decisions that get you in trouble, cause you difficulties, you will lose trust and resist giving over control to someone who you don't believe can handle it well.

Seeking I think I have a bit more experience than you but my issues are the same. You should appreciate the thoughtful responses of DesFIP. I sure do.

Being used is so easy....it is the building of trust, compatability, and the instinctual need of giving yourself that makes this so deliciously fulfilling. There is also the "gut feeling" of not being ready, or being taken advantage of that you need to listen to.

As much as I want to submit, I've had strong periods of resistance. When He pushed me through it, I felt all the more amazing afterward and wanted to give Him even more.

It's common to have mixed feelings, especially when you are new. You are still building trust - both in your partner and in yourself and your choices. While one day you may be very enthusiastic the next you may wake up and wonder what you've gotten yourself into. All you can do is to take it one step at a time and the two of you will discover your own best balance.

Thank you so much for all of your time and thoughtful responses. The message seems to be that becoming who and what you really are takes time and process. The overexcited reactions and the reluctant thoughts will, I am hearing, balance out on the path toward advancement. It is just so wonderful to hear that my feelings have good company.
