Status: offline 		 Though it has been here for a while, I must applaude this site with allowing Kink.com to advertise on the other side, it makes a delicious diversion from the profiles that state no this that and the other.

Maybe it is that I am in a particularly lecherous mood to have posted this here.

But what do others think ?

Status: offline 		Personally I find it distracting and a contradiction to what the site is really about.  I, for one, am here to meet like-minded individuals, not see advertisements for glorified porn.  But, advertising such as this is not inclusive to cm.  It's much the same on other alternative lifestyle sites as well.

Status: offline 		What do I think of the Kink dot com ads?  Lessee...tasteless, trashy, disgusting, unrealistic, and stupid are all good adjectives.  But, since it's a free site, I suppose they're a nuisance that must be tolerated.

This (CM) is a free site.

(No, I don't work for them...I'm just a business owner, who respects those who take risk).

Someone has to pay for your interests...and mine.

You have two choices....you....or someone else.

Of the available choices....I'm, quite frankly, all good with "someone else".

I'm happy that CM has found a way to keep this site free.

It probably costs them between $5,000.00 and $15,000.00 a month to keep this thing hopping.

Be thankful for all the titties they show...and let's hope lot's of people click on all the titties.

(It means you don't have to pay shit).

Personally, I don't even notice that the ads are there.  If I'm on the other side of the forums, it's only to check My email and find out who's been looking at My profile.  If I were cruising profiles Myself more, I'd probably notice.

And, I agree with the others.  I'd rather see kink.com paying for this place rather than Me.

Status: offline 		Sometimes their ads get on my nerves, just because a lot of their kink is contrary to my own. But then I think about it and realize that if they're paying so that the rest of us don't have to pay, I'll live with it. I try to ignore a lot of it, because it feels like overblown pornography to me, and quite often the kind of pornography that runs counter to my own desires (submissive women, girl on girl action, male submission that appears to be an excuse for kinky vanilla sex, etc.). But I figure a bunch of people probably ARE into that sort of thing, so why should I really care if everyone is getting what they desire.

The only part that bothers me is when I look at someone's profile and then a kink.com ad feeds into the open space in the middle, making it seem like it's actually part of someone's profile. That I found to be really tacky and obtrusive.

Status: offline 		I'm with Lady Pact.  I never notice the ads.  They are of no interest to me besides the fact that I don't have to pay to be a member here because of the ads.  I'm glad someone supports the advertisers so that they will keep advertising here.

Status: offline 		To me, it's not a moral judgement, it's an aesthetic one. I just think some things are better left unfilmed, just because they don't typically photograph very well, nor are they photogenic, but it goes without saying that it's not a very popular view  .

Could it be the majority who answered were female to get such a response, as it is accepted that it is mostly males who are stimulated by visual imagery, or is it people do not wish to see such acts ?

I particularly admire Kink.com productions for a number of reasons, not all of them the blatant pornography depicted, but I like their sense of fantasy, something created with superb lighting of subject and atmosphere. The colours also are enhanced to give a warm feeling, something which adds to comfort of the image.

This site has to allow advertising to keep it free, that is certain, but there are a lot of other sites out there that could advertise here, a lot of them not as aesthetically pleasing as what is advertised.

As for some of the remarks, perhaps such mentalities would do well over here, with our obscene pornography laws, such laws would have quietly slid through with ease if such a mentality was the norm. Perhaps there is a warning in that, what happened here, can happen elsewhere.
