When I''m bored shitless..and have absolutely nothing to do except for boring things I'm trying to postpone, I tend to sit down n go on facebook..n click my way through it again n again n again n again even though there's NOTHING interesting happening there.
I sometimes do the same thing on this forum..look over the same discussions over..and over...and over..again waiting to see if somebody's going to post no matter how short or stupid the post is.

However..the time-wasting winner would be Facebook in my case.

How about you? facebook or the forum..or perhaps myspace/twitter or something else?

I don't quite 'get' facebook. I am on there, I find it too bloody confusing at times especially when I'm inundated with invitations to join this and that, or multiple people have sent me goddes-knows-what only for me to check them out and find myself catapaulted into the midst of some quiz or other.  I log on there a couple of times a day to check for mail as I love seeing what family members and friends are upto and occasionally, as with last night, I got a shock from seeing a face I haven't done since I was fourteen years of age!

That was a long winded way of saying that I tend to use the forums on CM as a way to detract from doing the things I know I should but welcome distraction from doing.

I'm not fond of Facebook, I usually only go on for a few minutes each day to check my messages. I spend more time reading the CM forums. It's better entertainment.

Even when I had a Facebook account, I rarely logged on (going two weeks between log ons was as about the shortest time, I think). After that little flap about their perpetual claim to intellectual property, I deactivated, then deleted my account.

CM is pretty much the only online community where I feel the need to log on daily or multiple times each day.

I never had a Facebook account and probably won't have one. I've had a couple myspace accounts, deleted them though. I have belonged to other forums, but this is the one I'm liking now and can see myself staying here for a long time. The things I learn, and have learned, is what keeps me coming back... Well, that and the interesting people in this Stupidity Forum.

I also like CM because I don't know any family members on here, and I rather like it that way, because they may know I am not all there, but they just don't know how much.

what's facebook?

If you have the CM forums, do you really need anything else?

When my oldest has her facebook account up, I like to read the bumper stickers. But I don't have an account of my own.

I tend to do just one main forum at a time. Prior to here, I was on b.com before the new owners killed those forums. Prior to that, a couple of vanilla ones.

The forums would be my "I am at work and fucking around" time waster. Or mahjong..

I have a Facebook acct but that is only because my little sister begged me. It's allll family stuff. Quite boring to anyone else.

i use facebook as a main means to contact alot of people important to me(no phone right now), i have alot of people on there for no reason, i guess i had an impact and they added me which is cool.. but mostly people trying to grab on to some person they new as an acquitance if that, i see no point if we have nothing in common anymore. i prefer collarme as a time waster, even if i dont like people its more fresh than old "buddies" you dont give a crap about, besides i like speaking my mind and this is good for that sometimes. that and collarme has invoked thought once or twice, facebook has not and i doubt ever will.

The type of self-expression that appeals to me is better met by CM than Facebook. I really don't want to self-censor on a Web-page that is open acess.

We have all three.  Facebook is my boring time.  I find it pretty much a yawnfest.  Myspace is cool for networking and finding music, but otherwise I have little interest.  Twitter rocks.  I have a friend who made the best suggestion the other day, that people can embrace their inner stalker with Twitter.  That about sums it tweeters up really.

Now TWITTER is complicated, I jonied just to see what it's all about and ...I just bah...it's too simple! What's so awesome about it????
Myspace..I found it terribly boring...deleted my account after a short while..
Facebook..I can leave it...but it can be a great timewaster, my page is awfully boring but my friends are always putting albums and doing quizzes and that stuff so I usually end up finding somethin besides it can be fun spying on people

Twitter is awesome because it's soooooo mundane.  It's the curtain peeking of all forums!
Myspace works if you have something to 'sell' have a want(networking wise).  Otherwise I can see just how boring it could be.  If you can code though, and are artistic, it can be fun.
Facebook is just a bit bland and you can't be creative on it from my pov.  And I don't add the attatchments because I like my computer clean.

Before CM I was an avid Myspacer.  I have a Facebook, but rarely use it.  I still check Myspace as I have friends from another state on there.  I'd never heard of Twitter.  I usually stay with the forums here.

Twitter is like blogging shorthand.

I am on facebook, though I haven't logged on in WEEKS. There are lots of folks on there from an online community called Brainstorms that I used to participate in, and lots of my realtime local friends, so what the hell.  I spend more time here, of course.  And the Other Site.
