Thank you Kitten for a wonderful post. It is very refreshing. I used to always tell my potential submissives "If you expect me to show up with a flogger in one hand and a strap-on in the other, you will be sadly disappointed" and truer words were never spoken. I do not fit what a Mistress is "supposed" to look like. Hell, I think a Mistress is supposed to look like "Elvira" lol I am short, heavy and I can barely walk across the room in my stilettoes without falling off of them, but guess what? My submissive loves and adores who I am, and that is all that matters to me. Isn't that the most important thing? Forget notions of who or what you are supposed to be, and just be yourself.

sometimes, Miss Karen...being oneself can be distasteful and unappealing. as i have probably already demonstrated in most of my posts here. i am learning a lessen here and that lesson is...

"if you want someone to like you for you...smile and keep your opinions to yourself" ( a quote directed at me...not anyone else. my own reprimand)

"

And my qoute and reprimand to me is "happiness is an inside job ... and is quite attractive to the opposite sex."

it is not easy to be happy when you are incomplete

If everyone here was as honest as you are I think we'd find that about 75 or 80% of us fit into that 'Vanilla with a Twist' category. We all (or almost all) have to live and work and move about in the real world to do the things that provide the means for us to enjoy our kinks. For most of us that means living 'Vanilla' at least part of the time. If you add kids into that formula, along with friends, neighbors and work acquaintances, you end up having a limited amount of time for your BDSM lifestyle (I know I do) and spend a lot of time in the Vanilla world. I don't regret this, I'm just glad that I have the means and the ability to enjoy the BDSM time that I get.

Is Vanilla with a twist a new version of the "Kinky Vanilla Pod" or a new kinky cocktail????

I know that is directed at yourself Michael, but a female sub that came to me with that attitude would either be helped to see that I valued her more for giving her opinions (Appropriatly of course) or be told to find another master. I want the whole package. Mind and body, not just the body.
