i just consider all other vehicles on the road to be SHRUBS.  Big shrubs, little shrubs.  Pretty shrubs, ugly shrubs.  They are just things that i'd rather not hit.  i don't personify them.  Driving is not a contest.  i'd rather have a bad driver in front of me where i can watch - than behind me where i can't see what's going on.

It ticks me off when I construct an apology to a specific member on CM in the Ask A Master forum for having replied snarkily to their post and the post is pulled without an explanation from the mods as to what TOS I infringed.

it ticks me off when you take the time to try to explain your position to someone privately so that they can understand "From the Horses Mouth" how I felt and what I was trying to convey and even take the time to mention how you respect that persons values and beliefs for the most part but on some disagree and they delete the message unread.

It ticks me off that some people will go behind someones back and talk down about them and do everything they can to get other people on their side in disliking that person all done behind the scene and then come on the board and talk about being open and the kind of person who goes to the source of the problem and don't resort to playing the popularity game.

It ticks me off that some people have a with me or against me mentality, it seems that you cannot disagree with them with them assuming that you are against them when in reality you just don't agree with them.

It ticks me off that most everyone on this board should be out of highschool but some days this place is more like Freshman Year from over a decade ago than it was when I was actually there.

It ticks me off that some people just can't wait to find a reason to dig into someone for whatever reason, as if it's not enough to just dislike them you have to find reasons to make them look like an idiot or a jerk or stupid all so that person can feel better about themselves.

It ticks me off that we all feel responsible enough to take the life of another human being in our hands or be responsible enough to turn our will over to someone else and yet we find as many reasons as we can to seperate ourselves and the argue the validity of those things that keep us connected.

Steel

In my case today when I hypocritically threw some snarky comments on 'that' thread, it was myself I made look an idiot, no one else and they were comments that, despite my opposing stance, were unwarranted and ensured any point I attempted to convey were lost in transition as a result. Despite my public apology to that person (I felt if I could behave like that, which is a rarity, I should have the balls to apologise) being pulled, I have written to them privately and hope it is accepted. I am responsible for my own bullshit and I'm not above correcting it when it happens, nor listening to constructive criticism when it's provided. If I adopted a 'my word is law' attitude to my every day life, it'd be a very lonely existence and I'd likely have to descend into a life of escapism - even to the point of believing my online persona.

That thread brought about a lot of forthright answers from a broad spectrum of members and I felt that despite the personal slant that it too, some very good information was to come from it.

I'm sorry MM that post was not about you at all actually. Personally I didn't think what you said was THAT bad, sure it had some venom behind it but I didn't think you were over the top.

Believe it or not that particular part of my post was about something completely different from that thread and about the specific actions of another.

Hope there was no confussion.

No no, I didn't think you were commenting directly at me, Steel. There wasn't any venom behind my post, that wasn't my intention or drive, it was meant to be a tongue-in-cheek 'how can you behave like that when teaching someone else that it's wrong... I was foisted by my own petard by my own poor choice of words.

It does suck to have one's emails deleted, but then those doing the deletion will never know what was relayed and will continue thinking they own the right to being, well... right, followed by a little trail of smoke from the piety.

Is that by having it sent to an external email, Pure?

There are times when apologies are more hypocritical than anything.  If you think before mindlessly attacking, there is no need to apologise.

And more than anything this ticks me off.

I didn't attack you. NOT ONCE, I just didn't agree with the actions I preceived you were taking, if you preceive all those who do not agree with you as people attacking you then perhaps you might want to think on that. And you can't call hypocritical on something you didn't even bother to read. That's seems to be a little worse than hypocritical it seems to be a little "holier than thou"

LadyH, I respect you, have up until this whole mess where it would seem you just want to believe that every "Male" has it in them to just ignore your position. Awful big chip to carry around and sad because it really isn't true. There is no Old Boys Network going on, not with me anyway, what there is is my opinion of what to do and your opinion not matching. I believe you do what you can when it happens and deal directly with the problem, I got, and STILL get the distinct impression that you want to get rid of this guy cause you feel it is your responsibility to. Where as I agree that action is required, I believe the action is to call the MAN on his mistakes and not call the community to attention of the man.

Sure you never actually said that you were planning on doing exactly that but with the tone of your posts and the context within them it seems a good bet that if you had your submissives meeting that it would be at least in your mind if only in your mind about THIS GUY.

I disagree with THAT process and I find That Process just as bad if not worse than what that guys is doing. I think it is worse because I don't think it's your place to save people from themselves by removing or attempting to remove or attempting to change something "THEY" wanted and had buyers remorse later.

Perhaps you see this as another guy saying that the rape victim deserved it because she wore a mini-skirt, you would be wrong. I am saying that the really sad situation is that a grown person, grown people would continually put themselves in a position to be used by this guy. That is the real problem.

Said my peace on this and I'm done now. My Inbox is always open and I read all my messages even if I am mad with the person who sent it.

Steel

It ticks me off when folks who can write a gramatically correct email and can post intelligently on other threads come on here and post in baby talk the same inane stuff day after day.
