I think it's outragious that my govt is doing such a thing with me Taxdollars! It's just like when Clinton did the same for N.Korea and we come to find out that all that food was making the N. Korean army stronger. This "social worker" approach to third and fourth world countries hasn't worked for the last fifty years that we've been doing it! We need to start making some noise to our congressmen and senators and tell them to knock all this "foreign aid" crap off! The U.S. government is and has been overstepping their bounds by giving U.S. Taxpayer Dollars to foreign countries! That whole situation stinks with corruption from the "Lobbyists" on K Street to the politicians and big corporations who get kickbacks from it! The K Street Lobbyists and their clients even have a term for it; "Mining the Taxpayers." I don't want to be a part of keeping those countrie's people alive. For what purpose, so they'll be big strong pirates and terrorists? It's not up to me as a U.S. Taxpayer to feed those people! How about the U.S. govt. start having some "humanitarian feelings" about the now, 50 million people in the U.S. with no healthcare up from 47 million last fall? We're not paying the people in Washington to "feel sorry" for people in foreign countries! If they start killing our Sailors we need to carpet bomb their entire coast so that there's nothing that will float. Flatten all the mansions that the pirates have built with their ransome money so that they know that crime doesn't pay.

Clinton'a aid package...Let's not forget the past eight years under Bush either...how daddy made that Saudi Brashie guy a honorary member of the Bush family. Let's not forget about that Kuwait War, the First Bush war, ...trillons spent on the Bush Wars, and not a dime for Healthcare for the US citizen who is paying the bill...oh, yes, also the billions of Bush Bailouts to the richest of the rich...Healthcare... for the taxpayer....not a dime.

Popeye, how dare you suggest that we retaliate against these peace loving fisherman if they attack? They are innocent victims being oppressed and we should not deny them the right to kill all the evil sailors that they want.

This terrorist group is not responsible for the attitude of all the inhabitants of these countries. Surely you don't advocate allowing innocent children, the elderly and those in less fortunate circumstances to starve because some delinquent teens and or criminal adults are motivated by stupidity???? The solution according to you .... just "carpet bomb" the coast. Kill them all ......let God sort it out ? And how does this make you any different from them?? I see the idea of refusing Aide to a country that isn't willing to properly police itself as a good idea. We stop sending food until they police themselves better. Seems Fair. Personally I feel that if there are people going hungry in our own country and we give away a single bowl of rice to another country there is something wrong with our country. Period. I do not like seeing children starve but I find it odd that wer step out over our own to help someone else. Where is the humanity in that? I believe that Somolia has some problems with Pirates and Drug Trades, if they aren't willing to clean that up and more Americans are harmed then as an American I believe it is our responsibility and our duty to discontinue all aide to that country until that contry agrees to make the practice of Piracy so undesirable that it no longer happens. Hello.....peace loving fishermen?????? This piracy thing has been going on for YEARS; nothing new. A friend of mine, bought a Ketch, setting to sail around the world; when filing his papers, he was asked if he had any guns he was bringing with him. He, thinking he was in some sort of violation of some rules, replied no. Then he was told he had better buy a few, and arm himself if he planned his sailing excursion.....THE PIRATES. So, shocked and amazed, he bought a couple of rifles and pistols, ammo, and set sail on his 'Love Boat'. What they will do, most likely is deploy some Marines on these Commercial Ships with orders to shoot to kill any of these 'Jack Sparrows' lurking about. Pirates have been around a long time.....doing their dasdardly deeds forever....nothing new....I guess the media needed a story to print since the Iraq war, Bin Laden, Al Quaida, Talliban, hidden WMD's is not an issue any more. Instead of focusing on old stuff, like Pirates...maybe a better focus would be on...let's say...Health Care for Americans, er, I mean American Taxpayer guys and gals who are going to be paying for these bailouts.

You know it's not my position; but I'm getting seriously fucked off with the "carpet bomb 'them'" attitude, basically putting 'them' all in the same bag (ie. 'they' are all Africans, so innocent or not, 'they' all deserve to die for the exactions of a few of 'them'). I'm also gobsmacked by the hypocrisy of those people who advocate in favour of arming themselves against their own government from within the confines and comfort of their own fortress, whilst telling other citizens from other countries that they cannot defend their own interests. I understand that desperation makes people resort to criminality. It's called survival: when there's no law in one's country, and other countries take advantage of that, when you have no education and little food, but plenty of guns... tell me. What would YOU do?
