now that we had a history lesson on Mac empire. They honestly are not hard, i am die heart mac user would not go back to pc unless the world was going to end, adn you can use a right/left click mouse. You are nto limited to a single click one. Good luck and hope you have some fun.

They cannot possibly be all that bad. The entire publishing industry uses them.

Lord!!! Take it to a geek forum will you!!! Of what possible interest or importance is the history of the development of Mac/Xerox, Windows, or even friggin linux to the question.....Is it going to be hard to learn to use a Mac?
If you use a windows, then a Mac is going to be appear to be very similar with a few incredibly annoying differences that will make absolutely no sense to you. Other than that it is pretty intuitive, I do not use a mac, but I do tech support on them, and the new OS is really not very different from windows in feel and basic use, the names of things are different and they are in different places, but they do pretty much the same thing

Close enough. [;)]

Hey, you do Mac support? I have this one Mac user at work who is driving me up the wall completely, she's the most incompetent computer user I've ever seen. Could you tie her up and flog her or something for me? I would, but they frown on employee fraternization and sexual harrassment, or some such nonsense like that.

Ditto.

I'm definitely a convert, though I still have to have my pc at school. [8|]

There is always one eh?...well in my case, that's all I deal with all day [:(]

There is nothing to be concerned about if you are confident in your ability to get around a computer--Mac or PC. I am a graphic artist and know the 2 programs you are going to learn. The similarities between the working environments will make no difference in how you learn the programs. I use them on the Mac and PC and am comfortable in both. Ignore all the PC versus Mac wars--they are irrelevant to your question.

Thanks...and here I thought I was going to have to dance naked in front of my computer. Whew!
My dog and cats are very relieved that they don't have to witness that.

Well... none of us will stop you if you want to dance naked in front of your computer (just remember to turn on the web cam for us of course). [;)]

Best of luck to you with your courses!
