I despise Obama's politics and his Presidency so far.
But I have great respect for the man as a husband and father. So, yeah, I wouldn't mind him as a neighbor at all. As long as he didn't let his dog piss and poop on my lawn and the children weren't screaming mi mi's I would be fine. They'd be welcome guests at my summertime cook outs and winter time pot luck dinner parties.

No problem with him as a neighbor...cookout, play poker, go fishing. All good.  Nice family.  Good addition to the neighborhood.  Be good at helping build the new BBQ pit or hanging curtains.

...and I'm leaving it at that.....

Steven, I'm not very interested in politicians or president's "personalities" or personal lives.
For a president I'd prefer a quiet, efficiant "manager" who runs the country the way it's supposed to be run.
I don't need to know what kind of sweaters he or she wears or what they do in their off-time.
I just don't need to know that "the president finished himself off in the sink of the oval office bathroom."
I'm not much on "celebrity, I could walk right past movie stars, rockstars etc on the sidewalk and not even know it. That kind of thing just seems childish to me. I see those "fan" magazines at the supermarket checkout and I wonder what type of person would possibly buy something like that.
If you don't know the people in them personally why would you care about what they do?
That just doesn't make any sense to me for some reason.
It's the same with "sports."
What do I care which corporation's "team" beats another corporation's "team?" Unless I have an "edge" and bet money on one of them.
I find it funny to see these drunken fans cheering on "their team" when they don't even own stock in that corporation.
All their "team" does is extract money from them.
They're not "teams" they're corporations.
And no, I wouldn't want the Obamas' living next to me or even near me. You'd be constantly inconvienienced by the secret service and the press!
You'd be on the way home with a load of groceries including ice cream and be held up for a half hour or so for the arrival or departure of "dignitaries! There goes your ice cream!

Oh,
I thought we were supposed to answer as if he never was President.  If he was just "some guy" in your neighborhood.

Wouldn't mind living next to George Bush either, if he was "some guy" next door.

I'll even bet Cindy Sheehan can bake a mean set of cupcakes.

Now, Harry Reid would bother me...I don't like his condescending voice.

Bill Clinton?  Well, I'd be worried about boyfriends and husbands of women he was playing with coming over and starting up something.

Usher?  I think he'd be making way too much noise way too late for me.  Though I think Seal would be a cool neighbor.

Bobby Flay?  Not really.  But Tyler Florence or Alton Brown...definitely!

Carrie Prejean?  ONLY if she had a pool ;)   Perez Hilton?  Only if he DIDN'T have a pool ...

I think that they would make great neighbors too. Unlike the Clintons who would be up late hours of the night, yelling at each other, and I wouldn't have to lock my wife and daughters away when Slick Willie came over to borrow some "sugar." At least with Obama, I can show him my jump shot--yes he plays basketball-live with it, and he may introduce me to Scarlett Johansen when she visits him!
