My question is:

Are female slaves attracted to or turned off by male arrogance?

They are attracted to it, at least to a degree - esp. if it is not overweening. Why? Because it is a characteristic of the average silverback, that's why. The silverback paces his domain well aware of his position and that which is under his dominion. He brooks no refusal to his demands, he insists upon respect for his merest whim.

Hell, I don't doubt that there is a hormone that tells a woman she is in the presence of a silverback type of man. There are aspects to D/s that are very primal.

Extremely attracted to it... If it is backed up by genuine confidence and effective dominance..then whew..there is just something about someone that is ALL male.

Self confidence and attitude, yes, very much so.

Arogance or vanity? no. It's a big big turn off.

Sometime's I'm attracted to arrogance thinking it's self confidence, but that attraction vanishes fairly fast.

Nothing will send me running away faster than arrogance. Nevermind the *extreemly* annoying attitude it brings, arrogance seems often to be overcompensation for something

Hmm, for myself...no. I like a man who carries himself with a certain amount of arrogance. (As long as it does not become egotism.)

I personally find confidence to be much more appealing than arrogance.
There is a huge difference between the two.
Arrogance is rude and unappealing to me.
Confidence, on the other hand, is very, very sexy.

I agree that arrogance and confidence are two separate things, but i think the line between them is easily crossed and recrossed. Arrogance in play does not necessarily translate into arrogance r/t. I prefer my Men confident to the point of arrogance, but not beyond.

Definatly a fine line between confident and arrogance.

Friends and partners usualy refer to me having confidence, people on the defencive after pissing me off usualy accuse me of arrogance.

I tend to trust the judgement of those who know me best to check if Im crossing the line between the two. But yes, confidence has often been cited as one of the things people have found attractive about me.

I find a tinge of arrogance to be a good aphrodisiac for me.

However it has nothing to do with deciding whether someone is a good partner in the long term.

Arrogance is GREAT as an aphrodisiac but thats as far as it goes. I wouldn't want to actually have a conversation with them. LOL.

Now, confidence AND humility, in my mind, is the winning combo.
And I'm holding out for it, because "I'm worth it" <shakes hair and batts eyes>

ARRogance will make me run the other direction....which in my experience leads to long discussions of just how much they know in this world...reciting book passages, poems they memorized, where they went to school, if it's ivy league forget about it...and the while not giving you a chance to say anything or contribute to a conversation. lol....just stupid,....common sense should apply to some of these supposed Doms. Um,...how are they to get to know our minds?
Now a healthy Ego is a different thing. Yes as you all have wrote confidence,....it's a totally different thing. I want to learn from my dom...but I don't want to be bored to death by him....tooting his own horn.

Confidence and/or a touch of arrogance, can be delicious...but only if they have a valid reason for it!

Arrogance is nothing without without the competence to back it up. Someone who displays the former without the latter gets laughed at then ignored whether they think they're a 'silverback' or not.

I have Pride, Confidence and Dignity, By nature I also have a degree of Arrogance but rarely overbearing and never bullying. It is simply hereditory racially from the Prussian side of my genetir background. I also have a machovelian sence of humour. people tend to either like me or dislike me; love me or hate me. Some even fear me (usually females who have heard that I'm the most evil bastard in Australia).
