ORIGINAL: la90066 I know a number of folks in the lifestyle prefer their sub/slave to sleep on the floor (or not even allow him/her on the furniture). Personally, this ain't my thing -- not judging anyone else here, just stating it's not MY thing. I am curious, however... How many of you Tops require your bottoms to sleep on the floor... or how many of you bottoms are required to sleep on the floor or not allowed on the furniture? [&:] Hello, I'm a switch without a partner in either direction at the moment, and for me sleeping on the floor is the norm. That's just where I sleep, have for years. My chosen snoozing location, though I do have a low camping cot that I set up if I'm feeling like being luxurious. For me, the sub rule is not so much "on the floor" as it is "below me". If I'm sleeping on the floor, then they are not sleeping in a bed above my head and all cushy. Rather, they would be given a designated spot to sleep in on the floor. If I'm using my cot or we are somewhere where I'd be in a bed for a change, the general "below me" rule would apply as the situation allowed... floor, at the foot of the bed, wherever wasn't my first pick for my place, etc. (This is all with the assumption that there wasn't a health reason to pay mind to in sleeping location) And, due to my preferences, being told to sleep on the floor itself isn't anything. Just a normal night. ...but sleeping on the floor partially restrained or on a doggy bed or such, well, that's a different thing entirely. :) I've only had one top who had me sleep in a set way and that wasn't lifestyle/full-time, that was during specific play that lasted for a few hours. I was left to sleep restrained on the floor for rest periods. So, hasn't been an issue thus far really and only somewhat applies anyhow...
