Wow, aren't we all dating ourselves now? Meathead, now he was the subby, not Edith, he just happened to be more opionated, but still, he always backed down to Archie.

I dream of Jeannie.....Wow, that sexy little outfit and the hair pulled back in a pony tail, ready to grant any wish.

Oooh, Ooooh, Oooh, Fastlane jumps up and down with joy as he imagines what his next play scene will detail.......

Peace, Kevin

Jeannie and Samantha Stephens... sigh. What a pair.

Jeannie and Bewitched covered a the same dysfunctional D/s relationship issues. In one the reluctant Master is controlled by the impulsive and self centered 'slave' - in the other, the subbie wanna-be, Samantha, tries to train her domineering but ineffectual husband to be a real Dom.

Fortunately, as an adolesent, I was not aware of these dynamics so the pure fantasy could pour through. The only problem; which to choose?

All in the Family could of never been made today - now it's everybody loves raymond, king of queens, and the like, where these attractive women are married to these "dingbat" husbands who get ridiculed and stomped on in every episode..that's ok in todays world - as long as it's the men who are reduced to subservient houseboys. I'd love to have seen just one episode where Raymond turns around and bitch slapped Debra for calling him an idiot.

But hey, that's just my opinion. : )

Sweetkajira.....
You know you are so right about today's comedy's! I always thought the same thing..but the thing is ...they write these men's characters as stupid....like clueless....and yet somehow they land these pretty wives as well? The men are so dependent on them. Sure a lot is truly funny writing...no doubt...but I was a big Seinfeld fan....still am....love to watch it at night instead of the news, before bed time. Now that they were all indivual strong characters.
Oh and we just were talking about the Munster's and sweet old Grandpa died~! He surely outlived them all at age 95.
Um.....also wasn't Darin gay in Bewitched?
By the time I started watching these shows they were in syndication...and I Love Lucy is such a classic. Mmmmm....I remember thinking Ricky was a good looking, strong, Latin male....and Lucy enjoyed her spankings and punishments,......now poor Ethel...she didn't get any from Fred~!

I don't know about an ultimate sub, but I've always thought Rhett Butler (Gone With the Wind) the ultimate dom...
mmmm...

He had to be… Scarlet was such a despicable little bitch. He just waited too long to walk.

Trivia: Apparently the actor (like many actors) was short and had to stand on a box!

I think Edith was more of a doormat type. I used to hate shows like that. It was ok and even funny to treat women like shit. And now you see it in the reverse with women treating men like shit and its supposed to be funny. I think its horrible and it teaches our children its ok and funny to treat people that way. Why do you think there is so much abuse in society today?
