Not certain exactly which species of cockroach we are talking about here.  Most species can fly but will only do so in rare instances.  Flying takes a hell of a lot of energy, crawling is simply a far more efficent way for them to move about.

I think I love you. I'm printing this out for reference. I dunno what kind he is, aside from GIANT. Literally 3" without the antennae thingies. Ew.

Yes it is a gas stove, pretty unused (I'm used to electric and burn everything, shades of holly??).
I'm not opening a single cupboard until RR gets here but I am getting Borax (unless that will hurt BarneyCat??) and I need more bleach anyway. Bleach is going to be my new bestest friend.
I'm not pulling out appliances either without DomProtection but will suggest it to him. Somehow.. I think my plans for the weekend are very different from his heh.

The um, plastic strip along side the outside bottom of the tub has pulled away so I will caulk that on my own. Silicone caulk is fun, so thats okay.

Thank you. Seriously thank you.

Thanks everyone. I'm going to run the dishwasher again too, I think he was in there wandering. Ew. Jaysus why is he so GIANT? I'm horrified over the idea of him being a Myronette and filled with eggs.
The lights will not be turned off til the day I move. Screw the cost, my sanity is more important.

Oh, does Myron eat cat food?

subtlebutterfly -> RE: Important Life Saving Questions (4/20/2009 12:37:46 PM)

Quite the sadist, aren't you?
[8D]

I was willing to catch Myron with tupperware for a brief moment but there is no way I'm going to touch him. But if I do manage to somehow trap him I'd be glad to mail him to you.....

Fitznicely -> RE: Important Life Saving Questions (4/20/2009 12:55:40 PM)

Camille...

Did you know that the average person, during their lifespan...not only gets at least 3 cockroaches lodged up their hooha's. Also, eats no less than 8 live spiders....without their knowledge...as they (spiders) tend to drop into the sleeping victims mouths from the ceiling around, oh, say, 2 or 3 am....

You need to get a snake to eat the bugs...and a cat to keep the snake under control....

(and breaking a lease isnt the worst thing in the world...)[:D]

Much Affection,

perse

Fitznicely -> RE: Important Life Saving Questions (4/20/2009 1:05:09 PM)

We have a couple of bugs encased in perspex and made into keyrings.

D'ya think.....Myron.....?

This isn't funny.  [:o]

Honest? I'm about to throw up.

subtlebutterfly -> RE: Important Life Saving Questions (4/20/2009 1:12:56 PM)

I think it's sexier to have them alive...but I also saw this website the other day..where it had instructions on how to turn it into a neclace with gel thingy..it was very interesting[:)] you could turn the roach into a pendant![:D]

You're right. It isn't funny: I'll spank perse for you, camille. Perse, come over here, this minute *stomp* !

Fitznicely -> RE: Important Life Saving Questions (4/20/2009 1:16:42 PM)

if he's three inches long.....I once saw a photo of a real honest to goodness mouse that'd been taxidermied, hollowed out and made into a computer Mouse...

Roachie Mouse would be soooo cool [:D]

camille65 -> RE: Important Life Saving Questions (4/20/2009 1:27:06 PM)

Well I measured the width of the coffee cup he was initially behind and it is 3" wide. He was behind it, I could see his head and roach tush beyond each side. At first I thought it was fake, but I live alone. And he moved. He came out from behind my previously favorite cup and I was going for tupperware, when I turned around his butt was last seen going in the crack between the top of the dishwasher and the counter, there is a gap.

So I assume he is 3" at least. I know he is GIANT. And shiny. With antennae.

With all that I'm learning about GIANT roaches, the post by perse is most disturbing.

I do not think I can ever be naked again, which won't please my owner. But it is all perses fault and I will of course let him know that.

It is possible that I've reached this odd calmness through lack of nutrition but it sure does beat hysteria.
Plus I might lose some weight.

Will someone tell me in all honesty if perse made that up. Please. I don't want a night filled with awful dreams about Myron crawling inside me.

subtlebutterfly -> RE: Important Life Saving Questions (4/20/2009 1:29:54 PM)

honestly..erm a cockroach has gone...in there.......
I mean..can you blame them???
