Up until recently one of my favourite things to play with was my pin wheel. I absolutely adored it and couldn't get enough, i'd masturbate with it, take it every time i went to Sir's. I got it out last night though and it did nothing for me, jack shit, i'm bored of it !! This is the first time i've got bored of a toy but presume sooner or later it will happen with most of them. Oh and it wasn't like i was playing with the pin wheel every day or anything, so it wasn't over use as you might say. I think the problem is that im that used to the sensation the pin wheel gives that i'm kind of desensitised (sp) to it now. I need to move on to a bigger and more intense version lol. Imagining now a huge pin wheel with knives as pins or something - sorry. [:D] So i'm wondering do you get bored of your toys? What do you do when you are bored of them? Why do you get bored of them? Ooh and i was thinking that this is kind of akin to when we start to take the small things for granted. Like getting flowers every week, i grew bored and the buzz from recieving them went, i just took it for granted. I don't get as big a buzz as i used to from kneeling, so many times and it kinda loses it buzz too. I still take comfort in being in my place of course but it just isn't the same as it used to be. Anyone else lose interest / passion / feeling from the small things?

Put it aside and play with something else for six months. I'm betting that after not using it for a long time, you'll rediscover the joys of it. Like cycling an um's toys so something is always considered fresh and exciting to play with.

Familiarity breeds contempt..... if I caned My girl every day for a month using the same cane, striking the same way, etc both of use would be board shitless of it within a few days let alone the end of the first month (I know you where not playing with it in that fashion, but it would be the same effect over a smaller timescale). One thing I have to say is that you sure picked one to get bored with that would have disappointed Me. That would suck. I do happen to agree with the others that say put it down for a while and come back to it later. This is one reason why I have a variety of toys and like different forms of play. I still haven't gotten bored with any of the toys (though softer ones don't thrill Me as much) because I try to keep enough things rotated to keep them interesting.

.Toys become new again when you are not in control of them...ever notice how hard it is to tickle yourself. Life is a little like that as well... what you are in control of you get bored with... things outside your control, that affect you, demand your attention. Butch

Losing interest hasn't happened for me in anything that I'm truly interested in ....but my * this is all consuming* aspect, waxes and wanes and takes on different forms. It doesn't make any difference if it's a small thing or a big thing...... overdosing on anything takes away the * first time* effect. It's a rather natural occurence. agirl

I don't think I have ever gotten bored with anything. I have been doing this stuff for decades and electrical things still make me drop into subspace in the blink of an eye. Just a thought.. try a mentholated rub, or something like IcyHot (maybe on a leg or an arm) and try the wheel there. Not likely to be a good idea on your genitals, but it might make things more interesting for you in general. Many people I know say that the skin is a lot more sensitive after applying something like that.. and if you have someone to put it on your back or something, it might even be beneficial! Hope that's an idea that helps.

I get bored easily - - with things, places, people, projects. It's one of my greatest challenges, actually (some would call, and have called, it my greatest -flaw-). I'm not exactly ADD, but I have a low boredom threshold. Typically, though, given enough time, something will interest me again if its managed to capture my attention once. (Things I've -never- been interested in... well... those are hopeless, considering that I struggle to retain enthusiasm for things I really -adore-!)
