Thanks, MsFlutter . . . . & my local purveyor is indeed on the list . . . . . & the nearly mile walk in each direction will help me burn the calories; plus the ice-cream will help incentivize the walk . . . . . Every little step helps . . . . Hehehehe . ... .

One of the teeming millions reporting in on free ice cream .. . .

Walked over with the middle offspring unit, which was good when I blanched at the crowd & wanted to skip out of the whole process & just head over to Trader Joe's, instead . .... .

The local B&J outlet is in a little strip mall, & the parking lot had a blood donation bus & a number of charity booths going in conjunction with the ice cream giveaway . .. . . Plus a number of charity collectors worked the waiting lines . .. .

The B&J people had the whole thing organized pretty well, & it went much quicker than my initial pessimism would have led me to believe . . .. . The offspring unit got strawberry kiwi sorbet, which was good, & I got something with chocolate-covered macadamias in it & they were divine; the ice cream was okay . .. .. . It did get hot today (90 F), so the ice cream was quite refreshing after the walk . . . . ..
