Other than these lovely boards, what books or blogs are you reading currently that you want to share?

Next by Michael Crichton.  Purchased it at a garage sale for a $1.00.  The book is about genes, cloning and patenting genes and a host of other troubling issues framed in fiction.

I always have books on the go. I get really stressed if I don't have one to read. I have read all the Clive Cussler books and loved them.

Currently reading
In Search of Schrodinger's Cat by John Gribbin, a book on Quantam Physics
Automobile Electrical and Electronic Systems by Tom Denton,
and for fun Shopaholic and Baby by Sophie Kinsella

For what ever it's worth the new Baldacci book was a great read.2 days, and I had to make a conscious effort to stretch it that long. There was a strong desire to just read the book straight thru, but I knew that would disappoint some of my friends in Politics and Religion......onto "In Pursuit of Reason...The Life of Thomas Jefferson" by Noble E.Cunningham Jr.(penitence for having enjoyed so much the escapist Baldacci novel [:D])

GreedyTop -> RE: What are you reading? (4/25/2009 11:18:36 AM)

Flynn's stuff is as good as you'll come across in the genre......
GT,i like Patterson and Cross is a great character....but does he have to write in that annoying 2 page chapter style...I find it so .....choppy?

Amen, slvemike. Patterson writes a book a month anymore but I cannot tolerate his writing style. He occasionally has a good plot but you have to put up with the tiny chapters and the three and four word sentences. I find it very child-like and hard to endure. I've only been able to make it through two of his books and I'm not sure why I kept plodding through. It just wasn't worth it. I don't mean to slam anyone's preferences 'cuz God knows people love Patterson and that's cool. I'm just not a fan. Glad to hear I'm not the only one who finds his style hard to take............luci

agree...his short chapters have you jumping from one subject to the next. It is like playing mental hopscotch
