I'm a nerd. I watch every year. I always cheer for either corgi breed to win. or the Komondor.

I watch every year also. I breed Rotties so, it's kind of a tradition to watch all the dog shows.

If I'm near a TV I watch it, especially now that the AKC recognized my Healers!

A dog is a dog so what's wrong with one that has a little mix? For now, dog shows are just to snobby for my taste.

Well then you must have been very pleased to see that Rottie come in tonight....I was torn between him and the Mastiff. But the Rottie proved to be Top Dog!

Though I don't begrudge anyone their favorite breed, as I have my own, too, my best pets have been shelter or rescue dogs. Give me a big floppy mutt dog any day.

I do watch the Westminster here and there, though.

As a final note to the 2006 Westminster Dog show, held on 13 and 14 February 2006, here are the results:

GROUPS
Working: Ch Carter's Noble Shaka Zulu - ROTTWEILER (the Malamute was 2nd in Group)
Terrier: Ch Rocky Top's Sundance Kid - Colored Bull Terrier (Rufus also went BIS)
Toy: Ch Kendoric's Riversong Mulroney - Pug
Non-Sporting: Ch Merry Go Round Mach Ten - Dalmation
Sporting: Ch Chuckanut Party Favour O Novel - Golden Retriever
Hound: Ch Thistleglen Margot - Scottish Deerhound (Margot was the only bitch in the BIS judging)
Herding: Ch Bugaboos Big Resolution - Old English Sheepdog

It was exciting to see three dogs who were the highest scorers in their breeds' histories, Shaka, Rufus, and Dermot.

The AKC Eukanuba Championships are cool and I like Ron Reagan, but nothing beats Westminster, IMO.

Actually Ron, the whippet was Fourth in the Hound Group; that's not too shoddy!
