Status: offline 		In the 1970s classic "Joy of Sex", Alex Comfort wrote on gags and gagging that "men find it a turn-on, but most women hate it in prospect". Was that true? Is it still true?

Almost any generality is true... and false. BDSM or any aspect of it isn't a thing of averages and statistics, but an individual work of art between two (or more) people.

Status: offline 		I understand why people like them, especially BDSM folks. There is a constriction of voice or breathing but they just are not my thing. Both my little one and I don't have interest in them.

Side Note: Supposedly in the crap movie, "Hostel" has a gross ball gag scene in it.

Status: offline 		I would think that since it was written in the 70's that times have changed. I also don't believe "The Joy of Sex" was written with this type of crowd in mind. Most of the submissive women I know like gagging and request it.

Status: offline 		honestly I don't like gags, not because I wouldn't want to be gagged, but that I prefer to hear the screams and cries from my bottoms, and vice versa, would like my top to hear me.

Status: offline 		I remember reading the Joy of Sex when I was little, and being puzzled by a lot of the generalizations within it. Then again, I was a little subbie in the making, but still... I really enjoy being gagged, there's something about the not-so-subtle exchange of power that really turns me on. I can understand it both ways though.

Status: offline 		Well I like them, either on me or somebody else, when used as part of a scene involving bondage. It ups the helplessness. Can't say I find em comfortable tho, and I understand why some don't like them.

As for women I have known 2 would put up with them, all the others basically said "no thanks" or something stronger.

Status: offline 		I find gags a huge turn on, as long as they are in someone else's mouth. Unless of course they moan and cry when we are playing in which case a gag would be a huge turn off for me. But I do like to use gags sometimes, and sometimes I don't. There are subs that I like to keep gagged all the time, and there are subs that I would rather not have gagged. There are men and women that I meet who are vanilla that I would love to gag all the time, and there are other nillas that don't really bother me so it's ok with me that they aren't gagged. So I guess gags are appealing to me and they are not appealing to me and I would guess that most people fall into the same category.

Now as for a gag in my own mouth, mmmm not so much.

havent really tried much yet
so far-------She aint got a good gag TO use. what She had,..is too small and i can move it with my jaw and tongue..and push it down my neck.

She needs something i cant do that with.

there HAS TO BE ...A way for ME to be able to say, hey yo..dry throat..i am gagging here...coz i WILL dry heave

LMAO...... wonder if we know the same people.

As far as OP.... I am very vocal. So sometimes gagging me is a must. I do not like gags as much as Master himself. (No need to go into detail here I'm sure or Petruchio will get me again.. LOL)

But when being gagged... the feel of helplessness.... any type of possible power i may of had left.. being taken from me... majorly... WOW

Status: offline 		I like gags. Er, I think I like them, as Ive never been gagged before. Ive seen rubber ball gags, but if they taste anything like they smell, I think I will pass. I cant use any kind of cloth because of the willie factor, as in cloth in my mouth give me goosebumps like nails on chalkboards for some. So until I can think of something else to use, a girl can always dream

Status: offline 		I definately LOVE GAGS ! I have 3 different Gags, and love to have them in my mouth. They feel so neat, letting me know to keep quite, but then again, MADAM loved to hear me moan in Pleasure and Pain. Also a Penis Gag comes in handy for PLEASING MISTRESSES TOO !

Status: offline 		I'm torn on the gag issue. I have never had one so I don't know if I would like it or not. I don't like gagging I do know that. I will hate the taste of rubber in my mouth so it can't be a latex ball.

When I first got into this lifestyle, pics of gags turned me off. I still don't like the look, but I am intrigued by them. I wonder how it will make me feel, how I will respond to my Dom and if it will heighten the scene experience. I know I love bondage and blindfolds, so I'm sure we will give it a try.

Ohhh and I don't want to be drooling on myself! How do you not do that?

Status: offline 		Hi Littlepita. The Gag fits just right, so I usually don't drool too much. I was going to tell you tp try a Plastic Golf Ball with the holes in it for a Gag, so you can breath and all with no qualms, but you said you don't like to drool, so that leaves that out. Maybe your Master can try a Rag of Nylon, just through your mouth and tied around the back of your head. It not too drastic, and you might get a try and see how you like it.
