Stop the presses.  I agree with kittensol.

If I were to say that I also agree with kittin would that be like having a mental threesome?

it's amazing how rude people can be... if you don't care don't comment, however, we are talking about someones life and every life is valuable! It's sad to see people talking death and depression so callously.

I kind of agree with you. But this is also a trivia board, and hell, nothing should ever get in the way of Internet flirting, not even a CFO's suicide.

Again, I don't disagree with your sentiment at all.

The article I read in the WSJ has given me more questions than answers.
He was known to be a very kind and friendly man, devoted to his family also.

If you read the last few comments under this article, it appears that there are
others that question the "circumstances" around his death.

Even if it really was suicide, WHAT or WHO drove him to do this?
Was he in some impossible situation with no way out? Did he know to much?
I really would like to know what the heck is going on at Freddie Mac, the CEO resigned last month and now this?

Time may or may not tell the real story.
May he RIP, and I hope his family can remain sane and overcome this tragedy.

His position guaranties that this will be spun every which way by every political party/ideology/crackpot under the sun.  It’s inevitable.  It’s the nature of the beast.  At the beginning of the soon to be brouhaha it behooves us to at least pause a moment and acknowledge that no matter where this leads, no matter what we think or believe, there is at the center of it a grieving wife and child and a man apparently so consumed by a fear and/or despondency that it robbed him of his judgment.  I hope his soul finds the peace it apparently couldn’t find here on earth.

Actually, I think it is obvious that there might be something to his death that we don't know about.  Maybe we'll find out one day;  maybe not.

Will it be something that would be personal or would it have been something professional?    I'm guessing we will never know, since this isn't a 60 minute TV show or even a series.

As I said before, my wife went through something similar with her father when she was 16.   Never good when your parent abandons you, through suicide or other ways.   It didn't leave any peace for her soul for a long time.    With people killing their families of late, it is fortunate(?) that he(?) only killed himself.

He was murdered! He was going to spill the beans on the plot by the Trilateral Commission, the Vatican, Skull and Crossbones, the Girl Scout's, the Boy Scout's, the Elk's, the Delta Tau Delta fraternity's, PBS', Mr. Roger's, and the Colonel's plot to take over the world!!!!

I don't think so, Cat.  My best guess is there was information that could or would be made public that would destroy his entire career.

And Holly, I completely agree with you about the loved ones finding the body.  That is a terrible way to leave them behind.

I'm thinking the whole lack of being alive has pretty much already killed his career. ;)
