Nope. For me dating is just getting to know someone, seeing what you have in common, seeing what time will show you, having a good time together.
I have what I call my "mental clipboard." In the first few times of meeting someone, I either decide to keep going with them or not. If I decide to keep dating, a LOT of stuff gets put on that clipboard. THe clipboard isn't a "good" or "bad" list- it's just "things to take note of." It can be discussions to have about the past, a quirk to review, a compability kink, a talk about a particular interest, whatever. It's my mental filing system for someone to remind myself of where I'm going on my path.
If things really develop over time, the clipboard becomes a filing cabinet, and eventually, just part of the whole connective living relationship.
