~ FR ~ For what it's worth, I think the OP is asking if he should collar someone who is more friend than sub and may possibly already be owned but is being lent to him for whatever reason. Collars mean different things to different people and what they mean to the OP should determine whether he collars or not. Are they for play, discipline, ownership, what? Is this online or r/t? I've heard of collars of protection (both online and r/t) is this one of those? For Lumus and myself, a collar was an extremely special matter of ownership. It confirmed His ownership of me and occurred before our wedding. Collars are not taken lightly in our dynamic but instead as serious as marriage. That's our choice though we recognize it's not for everyone. Some people just see collars as a fashion item. OP - the only person who can decide whether to collar or not is you. Figure out what the collar means to you, then what the person means to you and go from there. As for the picture, I go with Viggo Mortenson as Aragorn in the Lord of the Rings. Nummy!
