If you're not getting blocked you're not living on the edge... the edge is why we're here… say what you want and mean it...If they don't like it they are not worth the effort to convince.

If and when you find a match it will have a good chance of working.

If I get an email from a twit, I usually just delete it without blocking them.  In a month or two, I'll have forgotten him (or her) and he'll have a chance to make a better first impression.  I see nothing wrong with choosing to block first and ask questions later, though.

That said, OP, if people keep blocking you, you're probably doing something wrong in your first few emails.  Learn from your mistakes.

Also?  If you talk to a domme, and she doesn't want to do "discreet daytime bondage sessions" with a married man, leave it alone.  Many women have pretty strong opinions about playing behind a spouse's back, and whatever "all the facts" are, trying to convince a woman you've never met to abandon her principles for you is somewhat tasteless.

Many men have pretty strong feelings in re cheating as well. Neither gender has cornered the market on good or bad behavior.

No argument there and no offense intended.  I only specified women because they were the ones presumably blocking the OP.

Why should I give someone I have never met or talked to before who sends me a twitmail a second chance? If you can't be bothered to make a good first impression, oh well, suck it up buttercup and move on. Whining is so boring.

angelikaJ -> RE: Blocking profiles (4/24/2009 4:42:22 AM)

To the OP:
If people block you, then you could consider that they are in fact doing you a favor. They are sending you a clear message that they aren't interested which now frees you up to try and find someone you might be compatible with.
And IF you are being blocked repeatedly, then perhaps it is time to look at how you are coming across. Again, you could feel grateful for them sending you a clear message.

Would you rather have someone lead you on?

You only get ONE chance to make a FIRST impression.

what Steel said.

if that first impression sours or bores my interest, then ignore, block and delete you go. that move especially goes for the Nigerian scammers who use couples profiles as their search method - i receive messages from "couples" that are looking for a God-fearing woman etc etc

thishereboi -> RE: Blocking profiles (4/24/2009 7:28:32 AM)

Sorry but if I get an email from some idiot, I am going to block them. I don't need my inbox filled with offers from men who don't understand the word "lesbian" or from women who think I need an internet Mistress.

DarkSteven -> RE: Blocking profiles (4/24/2009 7:33:53 AM)

Perhaps you should examine your cmails to see WHY you keep getting blocked.
