FourQ -> RE: Thomas Cook (4/24/2009 12:30:48 PM)

You've got an amazing understanding of the lingo and general dialect.  You're only about 20-30 miles south with that accent.  I'm curious to know what that would sound like with an American twang.
If you have Skype we can find out.

purepleasure -> RE: Thomas Cook (4/24/2009 12:49:53 PM)

I'm at work right now, but have Skype on my home PC.

FourQ -> RE: Thomas Cook (4/24/2009 1:05:04 PM)

You have mail!

GreedyTop -> RE: Thomas Cook (4/24/2009 10:24:47 PM)

Phoenix.. you dont WANT to go downtown here... there's nothing to recommend it.   Ybor City (about 20 minutes) is much better..

[8|]  Okay, starting to get a bit harder now that you're typing with that GB accent but still not impossible. [sm=dunno.gif]

FourQ -> RE: Thomas Cook (4/25/2009 5:15:14 PM)

lol.  I was expecting the Pulp Fiction line: "English motherfu**er, do you speak it?"

lizi -> RE: Thomas Cook (4/26/2009 5:04:00 AM)

Hmm...somehow I was expecting the 5th element line:  "Whoa, lady, I only speak two languages, English and bad English."

Oh, and which American twang?  We have many!  SE Wisconsin alone in full of interesting local dialects.

NightTigress -> RE: Thomas Cook (4/28/2009 11:05:13 AM)

I just find I stick out when ever I go anywhere in winter, I am in a t-shirt and the locals are in winter coats. Oh the advantages of living in Canada, almost anywhere is warmer

FourQ -> RE: Thomas Cook (4/28/2009 12:15:19 PM)

lol.  You're only 51 degrees North.
Try 55 pet. [;)]

NightTigress -> RE: Thomas Cook (4/28/2009 1:25:34 PM)

pft what difference can 4 degrees make [;)]. And as for the pet I will admit it I do like getting my head scratched and I do purr, but get no ideas[sm=AttentionWhore.gif]....I mean... ok what am I kidding I would be almost anyones lap kitty if they would pet me...With Masters permission

FourQ -> RE: Thomas Cook (4/28/2009 3:21:43 PM)

Pet, hinny, etc. are local terms equivalent to calling someone hun.

NightTigress -> RE: Thomas Cook (4/29/2009 4:43:14 PM)

I know, am I not allowed to play with you FourQ?

FourQ -> RE: Thomas Cook (4/30/2009 2:22:25 AM)

Sure, by all means, but I still can't afford the air fare.

MadAxeman -> RE: Thomas Cook (4/30/2009 4:36:33 AM)

I've heard him speak.
It doesn't always help being from the same country

GreedyTop -> RE: Thomas Cook (4/30/2009 7:03:13 AM)

MadAxeman -> RE: Thomas Cook (4/30/2009 10:10:32 AM)

When I read this, I immediately thought of Victoria Beckham.   I've heard of men pretending to be women here, but this is the first for a woman pretending to be a man.  How's the Mr.?

GreedyTop -> RE: Thomas Cook (4/30/2009 10:31:53 AM)

*giggles*
