And Obama, who wasn't even a Senator at the time, is perhaps one of two Democrats who didn't go along with the entirety of what you claim...

The other one being Dennis Kucinich.

Obama Administration to Release Detainee Abuse Photos; Former CIA Official Says Former Colleagues 'Don't Believe They Have Cover Anymore'

...some experts say the move could have a chilling effect on the CIA even beyond President Obama's decision last week to release the so-called "torture memos."

http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2009/04/obama-adminis-3.html

I think this statement in your link from the Second Circuit Court sums things up very well:

"There is a significant public interest in the disclosure of these photographs," the court ruled. "The defendants concede that these photographs yield evidence of governmental wrongdoing, but nonetheless argue that they add little additional value to the written summaries of the depicted events, which have already been made public. This contention disregards FOIA’s central purpose of furthering governmental accountability, and the special importance the law accords to information revealing official misconduct."

Your post is a non sequitur, rml. The context is that 059 was trying to claim that things have never been better down at the CIA...

When they hit us again, and I think they will since we have a weak president, will those on the left still blame the past administration or will they put the blame where it belongs.?? Pretty soon it will be time to fish or cut bait..

Owner59 -> RE: Report: Abusive tactics used to seek Iraq-al Qaida link (4/25/2009 10:30:44 PM)

This implies the moron was strong.

StrangerThan -> RE: Report: Abusive tactics used to seek Iraq-al Qaida link (4/26/2009 3:26:09 AM)

Bush was an idiot. Not because of what he did, but how he did it.

I'm not even sure what the proper term for Bush is. Politician assumes some degree of diplomacy. The man had none. If he had approached the invasion of Iraq in the right way however, a good percentage of the American public would still be on his side and still believe we did the right thing. Maybe even you Owner.

Then that somewhat begs the question of why they "hit us" in 2001 since, by implication, you are claiming we had a strong President then.

80% of that technology transfer was under the 1st president Bush.

Question. Why were we hiring the Chinese to lunch our payloads,in the 1st place!?!?!

WTF is that about?!?!

And then the cons turn around and lay it all at Clinton`s feet.

I`ll never forgive the GOP for helping bin-laden by distracting the president, leading up to 9/11.

Their reaction to president Clinton trying to kill bin-laden?  "No War For Monica!"

Ring a bell?
I cannot believe the way that some on the left and will find any way they can to blame the right for anything that goes wrong.  And yet, the left will have you believe that they stand up and admit to their mistakes and that their supporters, while continuing to support them, will also admit to their object of support's mistakes.  Really?  Show me an instance.  I've heard leaders on the right taken to task by commentators and supporters on the right.  I've heard leaders on the right taken to taske by commentators on the LEFT.  Why is it that the commentators and supporters on the left are strangely silent OR somehow finding a way to blame the right when a leader on the left is wrong?  Oh wait...tis because those on the left are never wrong and when they are, it IS the right's fault.

To hear some on the left, Bill Clinton is still a saint led down a path of  irresponsible behavior solely due to those women who must have secretly been conservative, right-leaners.

Gutting?

They are very happy with Obama.

Things at the CIA are getting better, not worse as cons seem to imagine.

"Lowenthal (former Assistant Director of Central Intelligence for Analysis and Production) said the president's moves in the last week have left many in the CIA dispirited.."

(Was cutting and pasting the whole relevant part but Windows 7 glitched).

A round of cheers erupted when CIA Director Leon Panetta introduced Obama, who quickly reassured them that they had his backing.
"I know the last few days have been difficult," he said. "You need to know you've got my full support."

After Plamegate and stories like the OP and other indignities suffered by our agents, morale was low. They didn`t like to be used and abused the way the bushies did.

Obama is turning all that around and telling them,"we got your back".

The cheers prove this.

No...what is proven here is that PMSNBC is great at spinning to the left, as usual.

I bet that was before Obama decided to sell out the CIA, and release secrets the general public doesn't have a need to know.

I guess that would be the hand picked audience, or maybe cheers of relief that Obama plans on covering their ass.
