Out of frustration, I have removed all photos from my profile, leaving only words and sentences torepesent me on this site. I consider it a test: of the literacy and comprehension of the submissive males on CM. Perhaps I'll stop getting solicitations from monogamous foreign men & women. Perhaps. Lady Delilah Deb

What slaveluci said. Never had pics posted here. Always got a lot of spam. The only thing that has decreased it significantly is changing the tone of my profile from fun and inviting to mean and intolerant. That really cut down on the amount of crap in my inbox. But I don't like it, because really I'm a nice person. I resent having to come off as mean, just to cut down on unsolicited mail. Once again, fools and assholes have impacted my life. It sucks. Thanks for letting me vent.

yes, you probably will still get the attention being female. I do tend to believe more in profiles without pics. particularly as i value discretion (I'm not married, just a discreet single) I am wary of someone who has many pics.

I've never posted a pic and I still get idiotic e-mails on occasion. It's just the nature of the beast. I do think that the 'switch' designation rather than 'sub' or 'slave' helps diminish the idiocy a bit as some folks just don't seem to know what to make of switches, lol! :> Davan

as far as pics...maybe the ones of us that do use them is to demonstrate our honesty on this site when others so misrepresent themselves! how many stories have i heard from D's that the person they even saw in the pic wasn't the one that showed up! i personally insist...and use a cam for meets! thanks ree!

Doesn't seem to make a difference whether they designate themselves as dominant or submissive. They seem to see "female" and just start emailing away. My profile is so blatently clear about what I want (hoping that it would keep the jerks down to a minimum), but I think the idea of putting "switch" might be the best I've heard yet. I doubt there is a female on this site who doesn't have a funny story about some idiot that contacted them. I recently was checking my email and got a chat invitation. The profile wasn't spectacular, but I wasn't doing anything else so I thought I would pop in and say hello. I'm in NJ and he was in California, when I told him that I was not looking to relocate, I was rewarded with being told what an idiot I was. Apparently, just my being submissive and his claim of being dominant means that after I say hello I should pack my bags and hop a plane! As others have said, we are all human beings first. I think we should amend that to "most of us are human beings first." And maybe put as the two sentences of our profiles: "Are you literate?" and "Do you know the meaning of literate?" In reality, I know nothing will work to filter them out, but it is always fun thinking up ways to try to get the point across. Yes, obviously I have too much time on my hands.

I got my first one today! First sentence... complimented me on my picture XD then went on to say that I was a beautiful woman that he (though the profile was female) would love to get to know once he got back from consulting in Nigeria

If you post pictures that turn men on, why not make the best of it and take it as a compliment. It doesn't cost much to delete email so why be so uptight about it?

There is nothing you can do to keep from getting the mail. Even Master gets mail - from women claiming to be near us, claiming to be American born, but clearly speaking through a computer language interpretation program. The only ones that worry me in the least (and very little) are the ones that slip through - that look good and suck you in. The best idea I've seen on this site, if you want to make sure your profile is being read, put a test, like a key word, in your profile. One sub I saw had a profile that said, 'If you write me, please use the word butterfly near the begining of your email so I will know you read my profile.' Always near the middle of the profile - not the begining or the end, that's a bit too easy. :)

Many people of all persuasions simply refuse to read. Some just prefer to one hand type while wasting others' time. And some people just have awful reading comprehension. I am often appalled at the spelling/grammar/all caps some folks use. I am sooooo happy to be with an intelligent domme.

Yep, I use a reading test from My profile, and is an early real-time test. Cuts down on the twitchy switches and wankers considerably!
