Hi everyone, I just wanted to ask a quick question and get the opinion from a few of the dominant females on the site. I am looking to get some photos taken, for this site along with others. I would like to ask, what kind of photo catches your eye and makes a profile/submissive stand out from the rest? Hopefully your opinions will be able to help me get creative on what photos I should take. Thanks for your help The Submissive Boy

The photo you have here is something that catches my eye. Tastefully done, attractive, not too much, not too little and says something about you. A picture that draws you in and makes you want to see more, look deeper and discover all it says is a good picture. I think you know what you are doing... go with it. lol

Thank you very much. It's handy to know a pro photographer sometimes. I'd still love to take some more, maybe even submissive based.

I am not too impressed with pictures of men kneeling. Maybe the way they do it with no clothing... maybe it is more I can't put my finger on at the moment. Besides not being able to see it clearly, maybe it is too generic. Now... a picture of a man looking up as if he were kneeling... with camera coming from above... would speak to me loud and clear as those moments in real life are very touching and meaningful and a reminder of that moves me. I don't like pictures with someone else in them. If it is with another dominant... I don't need a reminder of her/him for many reason's I need not go into here. lol I love a blend of nature with a person too. Try different expressions. Think of something that causes an expression and play with them. You never know, you might catch one you didn't expect that says it all. It's about you... and who you wish to attract to you. Have fun! lol

I understand what you mean. I've never taken photos of a submissive nature. It should come naturally to me though lol Thanks for your help.

Don't know why you need more pics, or better ones, the ones you've got look virtually pro & you present as quite attractive . ... Got lots to perve your profile, tho', didn't ya? . .. . Hehehehe . . . . . [sm=evil.gif]

I happen to like the pic that you have now. I haven't checked out the others, but if they compare in quality to the main one, I'm sure they are wonderful. To agree and disagree with Lockit, both at the same time, I happen to like the kneeling photos. This may have to do with the fact that I like those who kneel in general. The thing about it is, the photographer has to capture and convey the body language that says the kneeling is one's natural state. That the subject of the picture isn't just posing for the shot. I'm not explaining it properly, but you really can tell the difference between someone just holding a position for a picture, and those where the shot could have been taken because the subject is in their comfort zone.

Lady Pact you may have just hit the nail on the head. I couldn't put my finger on that certain something that I didn't like about kneeling pictures. Any picture that flows... is smooth, natural and not contrived, now that I think of it more, is something I enjoy far more.

I like the pic you have here, I also like a pic in clothes, ( men's clothes), jeans or like slaveblutarsky--in a tux, that's hot to Me---too many posed pics to Me screams narcisstic, more interest in him than what he brings to Me. And those gawd awful self pics that show a cluttered room, no no no. Ok I'm a picky bitch, hey I'm a Domina, LOL I also am turned off by way too much talk about perfect body shape, hwp, work out, etc etc--its just too self centered for My taste.

Lady Pact, I completely agree. I do prefer natural photographs. I know a couple of photographers who always seem to capture a moment perfectly. I am not really that comfortable or confident modelling so posing in positions would feel too fake for me. Thank you very much DemonKia. I didn't do it for advertising purposes I promise ha ha. CatdeMedici, I don't think its being picky. Its just a personal preference. I have a few pics of me in suit/tux too. Might give it a go.

I enjoy looking at shirtless men, but if it looks too posed or if they have multiple shirtless pictures showing off muscles, it turns me off. I want to enjoy it for the beauty, not feed some strangers ego.

And you, Lockit, found the perfect word that I was searching for when I was writing the response. The thing is, I don't want to see a shot that appears trumped up. That's where the art of photography lies. Making the subject look like just a snapshot of the same thing that you would see if you just happened around the corner or if you came into the room. Something that doesn't appear staged, if that makes sense. There's something about a good shot that says this is a view of who I am, on any given Tuesday. Not, I knew there was a camera around.

What catches my eye in a profile photo is not professionalism. I take photos myself, and the professional quality of your picture simply tells me that you have the good luck, good taste and/or good sense to work with a professional. If the photo doesn't express your personality, unfortunately, I can't do anything but admire the lighting and composition. On the other hand, if your photo is expressive of a positive, attractive personality--a winning smile, a look of intelligence, a sense of humor, etc.--and the nice photo is combined with a well-written, attractive profile, an interesting series of journal entries and a lively and intelligent forum presence? You get noticed. [:)]

The pictures you have are wonderful and your profile is nicely done. If you decide to add others have them be tasteful, not pics of you penis. Kneeling can be nice if that is a position you are really comfortable in, because if it is just for show it doesn't really work. Too bad you are in the UK.

I just had a thought... umm, Me thinks thesubmissiveboy, got our attention, didn't he?? he asked a question and then we all went gaa-gaa.... nice technique.... I am going to try that on the sub/slave board, post a hot pic of Myself and say ," what photo would get your attention"... LOL

Thank you all for your kind comments. I agree that natural is best, and will see what I can come up with. I've had these pics for a while now and feel that after a while they may get a little stale. And honestly, I'm not a devious little sub. I promise!!!

Your first image would be (on the whole) regarded as fashion photography. Whilst the photos you have are good, it really depends what you want to portray and they don't portray the man, they show simply a person. That is cool if that is what you are aiming for, but on a site like this, if you are trying to use your image as a tool to attract, then go for something that shows something of you. It's really easy, on a site like this, to fall into the old B.A.C.K trap of - Bondage, Arse, Collars, Kneel - when taking images. From a personal POV, if you are looking for play partners, or you are already in a relationship then that is suitable. If you want a relationship, then you could be a bit more imaginative. the.dark.

Thanks Dark, I may take you up on your earlier offer. I think it would be important to find somebody who knows what looks good. I have some photographer friends but they work in the fashion industry which is completely different.
