BitaTruble -> On fluids and noses (4/28/2009 6:43:20 AM)

All right. Enough is enough. It's time to out those dastardly CMers who, by virture of wit (or, yanno, sumpin!), are guilty of causing various fluids to come out of body parts which are not meant to leak .. well, at least not leak Diet Orange Sunkist. You know who you are so, please, if you are one of the guilty it's time to fess up so the rest of us have fair warning to fucking SWALLOW before reading you.

I expect to see GT, Holly, Rain, Steven, Ron and several others admit their culpability in this regard. Confession is good for the soul, but do feel free to out those who refuse to take responsibility for their nefarious deeds!

Thank you for your kind attention and, hey, let's be careful out there. The nose (and brand new keyboard) you save may be your own.

CatdeMedici -> RE: On fluids and noses (4/28/2009 7:18:13 AM)

*raises hand*, guilty of ruining more than a few key boards [:o]

WetBetty -> RE: On fluids and noses (4/28/2009 7:19:08 AM)

Rather than ask those who post to immodestly 'confess' to being witty, why not ask who people find amusing?
I think Madaxeman is funny, LookienoNookie has a surreal slant on things, enjoyed the anti hero that was Domiguy and Stella is very creative.
Others too numerous to mention are unintentionally chucklesome

CatdeMedici -> RE: On fluids and noses (4/28/2009 7:29:36 AM)

<sigh> so miss Domiguy, crude as the day is long,  but always consistently an antihero.

BitaTruble -> RE: On fluids and noses (4/28/2009 7:32:49 AM)

Because I don't care about people who are just amusing.. I'm hunting down those who have caused me to purchase no less then 36 gallons of Oxy-clean cleaning up the messes I make coming out of my nose not to mention two perfectly functioning keyboards ruined by their devious activities! [8D]

GreedyTop -> RE: On fluids and noses (4/28/2009 7:41:17 AM)

wait!!!  wha'd *I* do!?!?!?!?  I'm usually the one wiping Mt Dew or beer off keyboard / monitor!!

(and dammit, Celeste.. you are not without guilt either!!)

*edited for dropped letter*

yep yep yep [:)]

WetBetty -> RE: On fluids and noses (4/28/2009 8:00:26 AM)

'Amusing, funny, drink spraying' semantics only.
Some of us don't like to repeat the same phrases in a post. Everyone I mentioned has made me laugh out loud, fluid or not.

BitaTruble -> RE: On fluids and noses (4/28/2009 8:04:10 AM)

Feel free to start your own randomly stupid post thing.. this one is for projectile nasal expulsions only something which I am quite innocent of ever doing! :;adjusts rusty halo::

Perhaps we need a blanket disclaimer like :

Please extinguish all smoking materials and set drinks in a safe spot before reading. A safe spot is defined as 14" or more away from the keyboard. Do not drive or operate machinery while reading. Do not allow small pets on your lap while reading.

Something like that should fulfill most legal requirements, but with the contorted tort law, one cannot be sure. If someone can collect a million dollars for spilling coffee on their crotch, none of us may be safe. Perhaps Lloyd's of London could provide an effective policy if we all chip in, I will read the policy for those damn exclusions. (I have been considering Lloyd's of London for car insurance due to my extensive driving record. I think I should be able to get a deal because of my proven experience)

With a group policy like that they can setup a worldwide network of warehouses full of keyboards, and deliver one within hours when needed. Also, once an insurance company is involved they may force manufacturers to make their keyboards waterproof, or ban funny posts, whichever their actuaries think would be better use of their lobbying money.

Actually it may be a problem insurance wise, they would have to answer the damn phone, because after all you would not be able to make a claim online.

MORE BEER !

have you considered draping a length of saran wrap over your keyboard before reading the forums?

Saran wrap is not just for food, yanno?

fluffypet61 -> RE: On fluids and noses (4/28/2009 10:53:13 AM)

Excellent idea!  That would work for folks with small sticky fingers in the house, too.
