I think the combination is odd and not possible, but I bounce the ideal off board participants.

A Master now desires to be submissive/slave. He currently has a slave that he has owned for years and is now training intensley. But the Master states he has a "submissive nature" and seeks his Domme/Mistress.  Yet, the Master doesn't want to give up his slave and never wants the slave to find out about his desire to be a slave.  The owned slave would submit/serve the Domme/Mistress, but wouldn't be the wiser that her Master is doing the same thing.  The Master would have to exist outside of protocol when he and his slave were present in front of the Domme/Mistress.  Service and submission by the Master would be done in private at all times.

Thought? Comments?

I think the fact that the Master finds it necessary to hide things from the slave is a problem. Any Mistress who is willing t go along with this mess is asking for trouble, since its essentally allowing the Master to be a slave when he feels like it. Very very messy possibility.  If the slave were informed it would be different. AS it was told, he risks slipping up and letting the cat out of the bag, at which time the slave could find out she was being lied to and strung on and leave him.

The idea of someone having both a dominant and a submissive side is perfectly fine.  I know that situation is true for many.

The essential dishonesty at the core of this scenario is the bad part.  The "slave must not know" is the same as "wife must not know" IMO.   I suppose it's true that a dominant does not owe full disclosure to a submissive, but this kind of deception is wrong IMO.

I have several submissive female friends who say that they would not view their masters in the same way if the master were seen to even BOTTOM in a scene, let alone actually seek out a submissive relationship.  That viewpoint boggles me, but I think it's a common one.  I can see WHY the master in this case would not want to endanger or potentially alter his relationship with his slave.  It still doesn't feel right.

The simple answer is he is a switch.
I don't think this sort of desire is rare at all but many men won't go down that line for fear of being rejected by the slave/sub and lets face it, most sub/slaves would reject their Master if this was to happen and thats understandable.
All I can say is, whats the point of living a lie. All of this should be de-stress and not added stress. He needs to find himself someone who can accept it, perhaps a switch.

i can understand it though (but that still does not make it right).

And as a submissive, i think my attitude toward my Master/Dom would be seriously altered if i knew he was submitting to a Domme

Yep.  I have heard that from many submissives.  And the consensus is that he would seem less dominant (NOT putting words in your mouth here, Holly!) not that they are having to SHARE him, which to me would be the first objection.

A big big lie in a relationship based on trust?  Not smart.

Likewise (though that's partially because I'm trying to say 'bollock gobbling' as I read).  I was once in a situation where a woman wanted to dominate with her husband - a dominant himself - was watching.  He got hot and wanted some action with her.  She protested that I shouldn't see her behaving in a subbie way with him.  She was right: it destroyed it for me.

I can see this male as a switch, yet he rejects that...as he puts it, "it takes hard work (mentally) to dominant his slave".  Oh yes, I do know this male...anywho...

I told him this is a mess he is trying to create. He wants the Domme/Mistress to decide the fate of the sub, but then contradicts himself by saying he would handle her..."I know it sounds deceptive", he said, and I agreed it did.  I told him that I don't know if a Domme/Mistress would even go for such a thing.  like stated, he submits when he wants to.

I told him he needs to let the slave go if he truly wants to be a slave and he doesn't want to as he has came too far and she needs him and may love him. I told him that he will forever be her Master and he will never be a slave.  of course he got upset and wanted to plead his case...AGAIN.

I can see where it takes effort to be a dominant, but it's not WORK, it's just how I am...

most important to me...neither dominants could be trusted from the slaves standpoint...the Master could not be trusted by the Mistress. why would a slave even want to submit to a Mistress who went along w/ such a situation?

This happens all the time.    This lifestyle gives you a chance to really to define yourself in time.   Always room for more self descovery.
This is another example how labels are not a good idea in our world.  We are free to be free.

Me too!  But I still pin the dishonesty as the dealbreaker.

Sneaky Bastard wants kinky times that either he will replicate with his slave or that he doesn't have to do the work and still get his rocks off.

If it smells, it probably  is what you think it is..
