So, yeah, totally off topic... kinda... I guess. They do have a lot of bdsm related stuff there I guess, but, anyway. Anyone here ever hang out on Second Life? Just curious. I'm going back to uh... doing nothing... which was what I was doing before. Booooring saturday.

Currently letting some dough rise and filling cool for curry pork filled buns. Making a metric assload of them too. Great for freezing and eating later.

It's funny whenever we go to Taco Bell I got a thing for the Mild Sauce I use it for all sorts of things when I am cooking I really like the flavor of the mild spice so when we go and they ask me Hot or Mild I always go

There is a New Measurment called an Assload. and I would like an Assload of Mild Sauce. Not a little not a Lot Not a Rosie O'Donnel but an Assload.

I usually get it in a seperate bag.

They need to change the name to half life to give it more accuracy, although that gives the impression of some kind of radioactive aspect which is why the creators probably didn't go for it initially. It's impossible to live two lives no matter what realism is involved there is just not the time for that something. Also from a philosophical standpoint isn't second life still part of your first life and what happens to your second life when you die in your first life?

I rolled up ma sleeves downloaded the thing, started the installation and:
"ERROR your laptop is too much of a pussy to be able to run the program. Second life will not continue installing unless you get a decent computer you stupid motherfucker"

so..at that point my experience with secondlife ended. I was not impressed.

Been a regular for over a year. I like building stuff

Don't think I've strayed too far out of the SL BDSM community in all that time. Some of the restraints you can get are fun, to say the least, and it's a great timekiller for a couple of hours before bed...

LOL, give me a holler fitz. :)

Yeah, it is a bit resource intensive. I'm glad I have a fairly decent couple machines here. Able to run 2 instances, dj software, napster and a couple web browsers. The desktop does get a bit on the grouchy side when I do that though. (I think I actually heard my tower scream "RAPE!" at one point) ;)

And yeah, it's a fun little diversion, and can be profitable.

For the most part though, it really is just a glorified chat program. And one can try to separate their first life from s.l. as much as they want. I keep the whole "chat program" thing in mind, and pretty much what you get there is what you get r.l with me as well. I also don't have room to knock it too much, as that's where I met my pet.

As with all programs, it has its upsides and its downsides. Not saying "Hey, everyone! Hop over here now and try this!" Just seeing if anyone around here happens to be on there, and if so, saying "Give this ol' katt a holler." :)
