DomArtist1 -> Collarme Mailbox Spam? (5/3/2009 2:36:54 AM)

Hey there,

I got an e-mail from a sub on Collarme with little information asking me to e-mail them at their personal addy, which they included in the message.

Does this sound like SPAM to you? Has anyone else had this happen? It could be totally innocent, but as this is someone who I've never reached out to, didn't say anything about how they came across me or interests, plus they didn't show up on "Who's Viewing Me" I'm just assuming.

Have a dark evening!

DomArtist

KyttynTheMynx -> RE: Collarme Mailbox Spam? (5/3/2009 2:52:05 AM)

Could be spam.  Could be someone just wanting to talk to you and get to know you, but cant always log in here (ie, they could be at work when youre not).  Its purely a toss up, and your gut instinct should be the best indicator.

Yep, normally I would have to assume this is spam....I get several a month. My assumption is that anyone not willing to converse on CM for a while, prior to moving the conversation to regular e-mail, is big time SPAM and has something to hide.

DarkSteven -> RE: Collarme Mailbox Spam? (5/3/2009 5:39:18 AM)

Hey, housesub, I'm not happy you got that.  I got it twice on consecutive days a couple of weeks back and reported both.  I would have expected Koffi Afred to be long gone by now.

housesub4you -> RE: Collarme Mailbox Spam? (5/3/2009 6:48:46 AM)

Spam????   DS you mean I'm not going to get the money deposited in my account????

Gee if you can't trust a complete stranger on the interent with all your banking info...I just don't know who you can trust these days

TravelingTrucker -> RE: Collarme Mailbox Spam? (5/3/2009 2:20:59 PM)

I have only been on here for a few hours and have already gotten a message like that. It has to be SPAM...

PMnpanthercub -> RE: Collarme Mailbox Spam? (5/3/2009 8:41:02 PM)

seems like there is an explosion of folks dying, leaving family with millions they need to launder willing to give it away to strangers who will help them do it.  i get several letters in my off site email accounts every week.  calling them spam is an insult to spam anymore, lol!

SPAM, wonderful SPAM...sliced, chunky, in a pie or loaf.

You only get so many minutes and then you die.  Don't waste 'em on these things...take a nap instead ;)

I got a message yesterday from a sub in texas looking for a "caring, godfearing man".
Never mind that my profile says People in the UK only, and also that I'm an atheist.

I sent back a not so polite reply.  [:D]

Yeah, the sixteen page email that says nothing about D/s or your profile and describes her upbringing...
