This forum loses value if it's used to attack others, regardless of how the attacks are phrased. I could go on and on pointing out each and every hypocrisy of my attackers and detractors, but I didn't post to fight; merely to offer an opinion in hopes of a useful discussion. If you don't like the topic, or find it invalid because you don't like me or distrust my motives, please try to be polite and just not respond.

LOL... I think you are getting off to this.

Calling people hypocrite's when your opinions, desire for discusion and profile/journal read as they do... well... dude, you are very confused or are enjoying every moment of this and are trying to keep it going.

In all fairness, OP, I don't think I was all that attacking of you, just looking for some clarification as far as the purpose of your post. Most on the boards would tend to agree for the most part with the general gist of what you have said. However, to determine if it is the case for you and advise you in any way we really do need to have a complete understanding of all the circumstances and dynamics involved which you still haven't given us. All we can do is speculate and advise from that perspective until you choose to fill in much needed details.

I really have nothing to add until I see some real disclosure to bring about the discussion that you claim to be looking for.

One last try...
To those who responded to the discussion itself-  thank you... I'll consider your thoughts and ideas before posting a topic again.
To those who responded to everything BUT the topic... it's never fun for me to see myself torn down in a public venue, but I acknowledge your right to do so... I just wish you could find a more constructive way to do it.
Peace.

It is for just this reason that I've concluded there is a large segment of the BDSM audience that really, when you get down to it, has no interest in long term relationships. No harm in that as I see it. Whether you go for the never-ending spark of a ton of serial relationships or the deep and rich comfort that comes with a long-term relationship, it all boils down to trying to do whatever you need to be happy.

You get what you attract. How you present yourself on your profile makes a big difference. If nobody serious takes your profile serious you won't attract them. You'll only end up with the less serious ones.

Wow.. I am one that does not believe in finding mr perfect.  No one is perfect, not I, or anyone.  People are just good fits, or not.  But this one thing in your post suggests you think otherwise no matter what the rest of the post says.
20 yrs.. was the whole thing a mistake?  My god.  I would have left.  There is such a thing as bailing when you know it won't work.
I have to believe someone in a marriage that long had many years of happiness before deciding it was a mistake.

I've just ended a 20-year marriage, and while I'm eager to begin living a TPE life with the right Woman, I won't repeat my previous mistake by accepting a person at face value.

I hope the right Woman for me is out there- somewhere; but lately, I've become very skeptical of ever finding Her.

I do believe that there is however, many Mr. Right-for-me-s or Perfect-for-me-s.

OP-- I had no opinion of you when you started this thread, I do now and it's no favorable to you and it has much more to do with your inabiliy to stand by your words and your choices and blaming others for your misery then it has to do with anything anybody else said on this forum.

You  may choose to feel that this comment comes from yet another person who is just out to critisize you or you may choose to meditate on some self reflection and compose yourself in a way that you will be proud of even in the  face of detractors.  Not everyone will like you regardless of what you choice is but if you like you then who cares?
