I'm a 42 year old male switch, live in the DFW Metroplex, and have been involved at some level with the local community for about 12 years. I have been a librarian for a number of years now, after a fairly long career as a programmer. I'm completely disease free, and would like to stay that way.
I am capable of being attracted to men, women, transsexuals, or intersexed folks - I'm much more interested in the person than the shape of the genitals or gender orientation. Though my relationships have always been with women, I tend to identify as "omnisexual."
I like to think that I'm friendly, easy-going, patient, honest, responsible, and trustworthy. Since I admire those qualities in others, I work very hard to try to embody them, as well. I think I'm generally successful with that, but we're all human, after all, and all make mistakes.
I have a wide range of eclectic and unusual interests, and enjoy conversations with all sorts of people. I have a background in cultural anthropology (prior to my programming career), and still enjoy exploring subcultures, communities of interest, and other ways that people amuse themselves and relate to each other.
One of my biggest hobbies (of several) is collecting ephemera, magazines, and books that relate to the history of community development among various sexual minorities, with special interest in the ones related to consensual sadomasochistic sexuality and power exchange. One room of my house is devoted solely to that. What else can you expect from a kinky librarian? ;)
My fetish list is really long because I enjoy all sorts of things, and love trying out new ones. That doesn't mean that I expect (or even want to) do all those things all the time, though. What I actually do in a relationship is dependent on the dynamics with the other person.
I am always looking for new friends, of course - I love to meet interesting people, and this lifestyle is full of interesting folks.
My submissive had to move permanently to another state earlier this year (family issues), so I would eventually like to find another partner. Another switch would be ideal, of course, but I can be very happy in other types of relationships, as well. I spent the last 10 years as a dom, and can happily remain in that role.
