As said before, s types email D types because it is a free country and we can.  What about the deluge of mail that s types get from morons who claim to be dominant with opening lines of "on your knees!"?  By the logic of the OP, guess we should all be so busy kneeling in front of what is likely a bunch of trolls, losers and people who look like they have not only been chasing parked cars, but catching them at a full run, we wouldn't have time to email.

I have found that the majority of people that interest me intellectually on this site are people with whom a relationship would never be in the cards.  Our common interests lifestylewise just don't mesh, or they are too far away.  Yet, I have managed to have some wonderful conversations and chats with these same people.  All things I would have missed if morons were in charge.

I'd suspect the lack of mail is due to your not putting Male Submissives as one of the things you're looking for. As far as I understand, most of the mail bombardment that many complain of, comes from men. Some reading of your profile indicates that you ARE looking for male submissives. But if you don't have that properly set as something you're seeking, you're probably missing out on a lot of potential mail.

Try setting it on, and watch the messages flood in.

Thank you for the lovely compliment.  However, you're observation is correct -- I'm not looking for male subs.  I prefer women though I won't rule out a m/f couple.  I've spoken with a couple of sub guys that I thought about taking on, but they both turned out not to be a good fit for me.  The most mail I ever got was right after I put up the video greeting.  The Bitch Boots got a lot of attention.

Status: offline 		It is extremely rare that i will initiate mail/conversation with a dominant, however on rare ocassion i have. I usually chose first to make contact via a profile view. They'll know i checked them out, then i leave it to the dominant whether they wish to make further contact. I'm not a bold person, gee, must be because i am submissive.

My favourite is always Mr. Domly Dom, Master of all he surveys, who's always in control of everything, except that he's accidentally categorized himself as a slave.

People don't think to look at their own profiles.

Also, it would be a bit unfair, all the Dom/mes out there would get rid of the many annoying emails, but it would also affect the sincere once AND we slaves and submissives would still get all those so-called Dom/mes messaging us...

I'm going to guess that "why do subs make first contact" isn't really the question you intended to ask.  If you meant "why don't they respond to my initial contact" then I have no idea since they never responded.  It could be that I'm over the age they were interested in, that I live in a crappy town without culture, that they'd already found someone who interested them, that they aren't interested in a polyamorous relationship, or that they don't like brunettes with glasses.  Who knows?
 
The subs who contact me are the ones who are either A) interested in ME, or B) sending random email to everyone with a red screen name.  Go ahead, guess which sends the most mail.

the slave has as much to say about choosing the Master/Mistress as the Master/Mistress does in choosing the slave.
