I have this Mistress contact me and say take a look at a profile, the girl was too young and active for her. I have a very "outdoors' lifestyle and so did this girl. So I look at her profile and think we are quite the match outside the bedroom. Hiking, biking, canoeing type stuff. She lives in Portland Maine, I live in the boondocks of Wyoming and have to use the internet to find someone.

So I write her. then she writes me.....and finally after very polite non sexual conversation we set up a cam2cam "date'to verify we are who is in our profiles. Of course like everyone else, she does a no-show and comes back with a feeble excuse.

So I do a "search" on who is isn Maine and I notice that everytime she is online, the Mistress that first contacted me logs on a minute after her every single time.

Am I ever going to meet a real person on this site or do I need to move to a larger metro area and give up on finding someone this way via profiles.

So think of CM as a big pond and you are a fisherman, some days the fishing is good, some days you bring up trash, some days nothing, only you can decide if you are going to keep fishing.

Why not travel the few extra miles to go to a munch and meet people face to face?

I never found sites like CM or Bondage.com all that good for finding a mate. People have,
Just not me.
There seems to be too many people here who just wake up one day, put up a profile and say this
is who I am without having any real clue as to what they are referring to.

It gets exhausting wading through crap. So cut out the crap.

Yes it does sometimes happen. I made a connection here on Collarme with someone living more than a thousand miles away. I am now living in New York with My Mistress. I met her on here last year while I was living in Minnesota. I had just begun to explore D/s relationships. Hanging out in the chat lounges here to talk to people who had been in the lifestyle for a while and get opinions on what it was really like.

Cougar, don' t give up hope, sometimes it takes a lot of crap and dirt to find a single diamond. It could be someone who's playing games but there are a lot of real people here and I know of a number of successful matches made via CollarMe. I'm from the boondocks of Idaho so know how it is living in the middle of nowhere. I found Lumus by chance here last year and moved 2300 miles to be with Him a year ago. He collared me July 4th and we were married here in Ontario, Canada on Halloween Day last year.

Hang out here in the forums, get to know people and keep your eyes out for the right person for you. Who knows when or where you'll run into them but you will.
